I see that Bob Dylan has sold his song catalog to Universal for an undisclosed amount. A lot, I'm pretty sure. Bob has written some great songs in his time and some not so great. Like many of the artists of the 60's and 70's, he would have one or 2 good, or, hit songs on an album and mainly filler songs afterwards. So, in my opinion, he probably had maybe 15 great songs, basically those are the ones that universal is really paying for. The old joke, do you know how much money Joe Kennedy left behind when he died???? All of it. Bob, cant take any of it with him, nor any song publishing rights, I'm glad that he is able to cash in on it now when it counts. knocking on heavens door, has been my favorite song, Love it actually. I have thought that he had too many verses in a lot of his songs, encyclopedia style, how he was able to remember them onstage, I have no idea, I have no memory for lyrics, and have always relied on the written word. HA. Just my 300 million on it.
