How can I start to play an instrument from a specific point in my song and end a few bars later. I can mute of course but this isn't what I need.
Also is it possible on the same track to play on e instrument for a number of bar and then at another point in the bar play a different one?

Yes to both question. Read up in the manual on how to use the F5 function. You can download the manuals on the PG website.
