Here's a YouTube link to my very first song:

https://youtu.be/Kzkm6GNFBh0

I wrote both the lyrics and melody in MuseScore, then exported that to BiaB as a MIDI file.

Of course, yours truly had a little help in the Chord Progression Department, so my deep thanks to everyone at PG Music.

If you're wondering what the new song is about, these lyrics should give you an idea:
-----------------------
Berlin...
Cole Porter...
Rodgers was tall and Hart was shorter.
Hammerstein gave us made-to-order words of love.

There's Arlen...
'n Van Heusen.
Old Jimmy Burke was quite amusin'.
Hoagie could fly and keeps on cruisin' th' stars above.

Ira and his brother George!
(Fascinatin' rhythm... Ira sang it with him.)
Oh how many names I think of now
when I hear the current

Billboard Top Ditties.
Don't know a single one that's witty.
I'd be OK with something pretty,
As time goes by!
-----------------------

If anyone knows of a female singer who might like to take a shot at recording this, please get in touch with me!

Well thought out and catchy lyrics.

Did you consider posting in the User Showcase section?

Thank you so much, VideoTrack!

Yes, I would very much like to post in the the User Showcase.

The problem, however, is that my own singing voice is terrible... and I don't know any singers who might be willing to record the vocal track. Hopefully, a singer reading this (or seeing the YouTube post) will come to my rescue.

If I went to the Showcase with just the melody and harmony straight out of BiaB, the Soundcloud listener would hear my composition as a tune, and not as a real song. At least on YouTube, the audience can read the lyrics, which is sub-optimal, but better than nothing.

I see from your avatar that you're from Melbourne. If you're acquainted with any hip Australian singers, let me know!

Cheers,

Steve Kobb
