Finally got a song for RPM posted. Only need 11 more by Feb 28! The bluegrass solo guitar guy sounded better than me, but it was my song and I made him sit (ha, ha).

***********************************************************

Hey, Hey
(c) Emmrich 2010

Key: C, tempo: 110

(verse)
hey, hey what's your name
walking down the road
you're going my way
if the truth be told

(verse)
i know you’re wondering
who i am
but I hope you'll include me
in your little plans

(chorus)
i know i've taken you by surprise
i see that look in your eyes
just grab my arm i'll do no harm
let's see where this road leads

(verse)
hey, hey what's that I see
is that a little dog
I've heard that's the best friend to have
when traveling down the road

(verse)
Hey now we'll be three
you can come with us
we'll take good care of you
and you won't cause any fuss

(chorus)
i know we've taken you by surprise
i see that look in your eyes
just wag your tail on this happy trail
let's see where this road leads

(Instrumental)

hey, hey what's your name
walking down the road
you're going my way
if the truth be told

Very nice song, guitar soloing and arrangement.

I hadn't heard that blend of RT's before, nice to hear the CapeBreton piano in there.

Have Fun!

Quick Correction:

***** bass (1162:Bass, Acoustic, CelticReel Ev16 110) ,
oops -- I am actually using the Bass, Acoustic Bluegrass Doc Ev 100 -- someone said the legato notes on 1162 was "muddying" the bass up.

Thanks for listening, I'll come back later to reply!

First, thanks for the comments and sorry I didn't come back to acknowledge you all!

OK, I did a little re-mix. I decided that the song wasn't "bright" enough, so I dropped out the #691 acoustic guitar and replaced it with the #1609 rhythm mandolin. My nephew, sam, also add a couple of harmony lines.

Kevin: vocal, acoustic guitar, hand noises
Sam: vocals
----------------------------------------------------------------------
BIAB:
drums -- CountryEven8Reduced
Bass -- Acoustic Bluegrass #592 Doc Ev 100
acoustic guitar -- #1304:Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm CelticReel Ev16 110
mandolin -- #1609:Mandolin, Rhythm Pop16Sync Ev 110
banjo -- #591 Banjo, Bluegrass Doc Ev 100 -- Soloist
mandolin -- #820 Mandolin Soloist Bluegrass Ev 100
piano -- #1166:Piano, Acoustic, Rhythm CapeBretonReel Ev16 110

Kevin,

This one is really a lot of fun! You did a good job of trading off the solo instruments. And like Peter, I like the CapeBreton piano. Works well in this. Good job!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
