Hi folks,

Some months ago I posted some songs here by a lady named Norma Kelly that were all created
in BIAB. Since then we have completed two more songs after heeding some very well informed
advice from some members of this forum.
The two new songs are titled "Knowing You'll Be There" and "Waltzing Matilda".
The first is based on a gospel song that Norma found on the net and really liked
the words to, and the second is a traditional Australian folk song based on a poem
written by Banjo Paterson back in the early settlement days in Australia.
Basically it is a story about an itinerant worker who steals a sheep from a farmer and gets caught.
The songs can be played at the link below and I would appreciate any feedback you may have.

Best regards,

Paul

Hi Brian,

Thank you for taking the time to listen. We have put a lot of time and musical
effort into the project to try and create a personal experience for the listener.
Norma only chooses songs that she feels have a story and I think that shows in
the way she sings the songs. She has been singing basically country, both modern and traditional, for over 25 years and always had a hankering to branch out, hence the,
if you like, jazz style songs in the project. What I find fascinating is her ability
to bend into a note and slide up and nail it....I guess you can take the girl out
of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl !!. Again thanks
for your comments and we have already started planning the next CD project.

Best regards,

Paul

This could very well be perfecton. All I'll add to that is that Norma has big time chops.

Very enjoyable.

Two thumbs up

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Thanks to all you guys for taking the time to comment it is very much
appreciated by both Norma and myself. As you will all be aware this caper has
a very steep learning curve and there is always something new to learn
so we will go head down and bum up into the next project.

Best regards to all,

Paul

Norma-I love your voice-real country. I sometime write a country song or two. Was wondering if you
would be interested. I don't sing, but use BIAB to write both medody and lyrics.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
