http://soundcloud.com/jakeyh/platform-9 .....another quick scratch vox demo track, unmixed just a few faders pused up and a couple of effects. again work in progress. again realband is the backbone of the track, drums, bass, piano, acc guitar
copyright © Pikes Productions 2011. comments on the idea would be great, but not the mix.....thanks Ade.

Great song and superb vocals, I really liked it!
I've thoughts on the mix but you don't want them so I won't offer them!
(Is that because you're going to re-track and/or re-mix?)

Dont know if anyone thinks these tracks are a bit "rocky" for the forum, as i see most of the tracks are a bit more mellow. anybody want to chime in on this?....Ade

I'll 2nd that quote! As I really like this tune too.

The drums sound great. Is it all RT's? Did you play on any tracks?

Anyway, cool song. Look forward to the finished product.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

No, I don't think so - just depends on what is moving us at the time we do the compositions.
But I guess Rock is less mellow than the other styles.

Still - good stuff . . . .rock it out.

Cheers - Ian

Hey Ade,

This song is brilliant! You've got a standing ovation from me. For the life of me, I cannot think of anything that would make this sound better. You're a very talented guy.

By the way, this forum is about all styles The more the merrier!

Regards,
Noel

I’m with Noel on this one!

The only thing that MAY make this sound better is a live guitarist playing over top!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
