Every song you guys would rather die than play were staples in every band I played in for the last 25 years of my playing career...made my living off of them, so I will not bad mouth the tunes...but man, it was SO easy to go on auto pilot some nights....

$50 to %75 a night, 4 to 6 nights a week up till 8 years ago. If I didn't keep GOOD records I only made in wage after tax's.....

JCS we probably know each other. I am in Akron also living in North Hill. Wanted to email you but you have it closed.

I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

1. How much did you make in 2023?
2. Send it to us.

Feelings!?! I knew it, someone was going to bring that hunk of junk up. The absolute worst piece of crap song that was a huge hit and we all had to play it. Yes I played the damn thing when it was big and for quite a few years after. Thankfully I haven't done it for long time and nobody's requested it either. Lets see, Feelings, Proud Mary, Joy To The World, what else can I puke over? There's another chick tune that I thankfully can't remember right now. Oh yeah, We've Only Just Begun and You're So Vain. Man, now I'm remembering stuff I thought I would never think of again. Fire and Rain, oh crap I'm having horrible flashbacks again, my meds, my meds! Oh God Noooo. Me And Bobby McGee!! THE WORST SONG EVER. I've done that thing a thousand times, Argggg...

Forget What Is Hip, these songs are who you really are Bob, this is what you made your living with. No, no, no......

So maybe here's the challenge. The great minds here, all love music, and need to appease the crowd. So those 'gig' lists, why not assign them to a guy gal or group and make our own little underground garage band of must have ammo in trunk.

I have that, but in an all jazz songs John loves to play and if you have me you get either that or old Celtic stuff my wife and I can rip off without any effort.

I've been asked to play a small bar a buddy of mine owns, we traveled in the east together.

But he's 1/2 country 1/2 rock and for his bar's anniversary in October 'booked' me. I've been out twice now to his country karaoke night. Lasted about 8 or 9 tunes each time before bolting. 2/3 of the 'singers' can't. There is one woman who is really good, but she has numerous visual issues. (Conjure that up).

I tried listening to the country radio station a few days ago. What a hoot. I know how much a hunnerd wait of hogs is, an that roundup is yer answer, while nutting runs like yer deer john. I went out in the back yard an got me a long piece of grass and chawed on her a wile. Went back to www.jazz.fm ! Now there is some groove. Especially when Ross Porter does Saturday mornings, gee, he put me to sleep for like 15 years in CBC who have gone new age here's jimmy's little band from hicktown saskcatchyouyawn doing there new potential single, scratch my cat's back satch. Holy cow! I've divorced CBC now.

Ok so back to the point, anyone want to take a starting point?

The set list we all hate but love to play for you anyway for fifty bucks.

It's so good to live here. Just this week we get Trooper, Cheap Trick, Steppenwolf, Loverboy and Meatloaf. I don't know any of them, nor their stuff. But my son the perpetual student has tickets so I get to keep my 2 year old grandson occupied singing Puff the Magic Dragon and she'll be comin round the mountain etc.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
