Hi guys, Nice to be back!! Hopefully this will be one of the last songs I post - no don't get your hopes up - using my old Roland multi track. In future I hope to be recording everything direct to PC. Fingers crossed on that one!! This song was me trying to put down in words how my mood swings hit me sometimes and how it makes me feel. I know there is at least one more person on these forums who suffers these "hits" so a special nod to you my friend. Anyway, here's the song. All comments welcome as usual. Welcome back Martin, I can relate to this one, great lyrics! You did a very good job on the mix also. If I could add one thing it would be “get that ol’ Fender Strat” out more often! Those were some very tasty guitar parts you played! Great chops!
This is a keeper.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Hi Martin! Great song. Lyrics ring with emotional truth. Sounds good. I guess I'm trying to say what Mario already said. +1 Well done.

Hi Mario, And thank you - it's good to be back!! And thanks for the kind words - glad you like it. I must confess I've been a little wary of "Stratting" my stuff with the ol' Fender as there are so many great guitar players on here far more talented than I. I've always been a songwriter first and a guitar player waaay second lol!! Thanks again Martin

Hi Josie, Thanks for the positive comments - always nice to hear! Sometimes the most emotional lyrics come out of that dark little "cave". Swings and roundabouts eh? Good to hear from you as always, and thanks again. Take care Martin

Hey Martin that's a good song and boy do the lyrics hit home in my neck of the woods. Beautifully understated solo, fits perfectly.

Great emotion and like others implied the guitar work really speaks to the mood of the song, I was dieing for it to go to a big chorus somewhere though

Hi guys, Sorry I haven't got back sooner - life will interfere sometimes! Alyn: Thank you sir - glad you liked it. And thanks for listening! Zan: Thank you for yoyr kind words. For a while back when I wrote this I agreed with you about a chorus was actually working on one. But I decided that I didn't want it to be a "big chorus" tyoe of song. It started to take it away from the mood that I was aiming for with this one. But your opinion is respected. Thank you! Robh: Thank you. I was worried I'd pushed the vocal a little too far on this one. Maybe not then!! Rob: Thanks for listening and the kid comments. PG: Thank you so much. You're very kind!! And thanks to all who took the time to listen to what is, let's face it, a pretty depressing tune lol!! Must start posting some upbeat numbers. Yes......I do have some lol!!

Hi Marin, Gosh! This is really good! This song is a real credit to your ability as a composer, lyricist, arranger and producer. In my opinion, this is definitely a work to be proud of All the best, Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
