Lyrics:

Everybody's Got One.

V1
Well I was sittin' in THIS bar drinkin' beer and watchin' sports
when two ol boys started fightin' over half-time scores
now one guy said to the other sun you better change your mind
or I'll stomp you in a mud hole and then I'll walk you dry.

C
Yeah everybody's got one
some ware em like a badge
and it better be the right one
or someone might get mad.

V2
Now things got worse as a bottle went past my head
there was kickin' and goujin and the floor was runnin' red
the crowd was cheerin' and the bartender taken bets
and I felt like I was road hard and put away wet

C
Everybody's got one
some ware em like a crown
and it better be the right one
or someone might go down.

(Break)
C
Everybody's got one
some ware em like a badge
and it better be the right one
or someone might get mad.

V3
Well someone finally called the cops
the place was a wreck when they put us all in cuffs
and that ol judge gave me 30 days
and he said, "hey son you got anything to say?"
ah well judge,

C
Everybody's got one
some ware em like a crown
and it better be the right one
or someone might go down.

Yeah everybody's got one
Some ware em like a badge
and it better be the right one
or someone might get mad.

I might have to investigate that *_BOOGBRT style. Fun sounding tune -- but I have to ask ...
"Everybody's got one" ... one "what"? It is probably obvious, but I missed it.

Good bar room, boot-scooting tune.

Hey Tim,

Fun boogie. Nice sound. My only nit was the same as Kevin - if you hadn't told me I'd never have guessed you were talking about an "opinion" - even tho I was enjoying the story in the verses - I kept thinking one what....

Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to hearing more of your songs.

Thank you much for taking the time to listen and comment.

Tim,

Just so you don't feel bad, I think just about any working class southern man has used the expression at one time or another...

"opinions are like ____holes... everybody's got one, and most of them stink"

The old saying is kind of crass, which is probably why Josie didn't get it. I'd guess she doesn't normally think in terms of how to start fights in beer joints

They say the same thing up here in the NorthEast also!

I’ll add great lyrics with an outstanding vocal and right the right backing tracks and mix.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

A fun song! I liked you very loose rhymes.

Small nit: when you brought the harmony up at the end, it sounded robotic. Putting it in the background (like on the other verses) draws less attention to it.

Nicely done - it's a great match to the style.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
