The first two are new today. Looney Tune a spoof on Canadian money and Last Train To Muncton in memory of my dad who was a steam locomotive engineer in the days when a haunting steam whistle would send chills down your spine.

All RTs with Brent Mason picking my chord progression.

Critiques invited, as always.

Thanks,

Don

Hey cowboy, got a page not found with that link.
Not sure if it's on your end or mine where the trouble is.

OK, decided to give the link another try and it worked.

Dam! I sure wish I could play guitar like good ol Brent.
Good job Don, like both tunes.

Hey Don, it'd be cool to add a steam locomotive sound effect at the end of Last Train To Moncton.mp3 using the loop feature of BIAb.
I think I've got a few mp3 files with train sounds around here somewhere if you want them?

Hell it was probably that Enema thing you was playin' around with on the other forum that caused the problem.
so I'm sure it was at your end. LOL.

Hey Don,

I just listened to Looney Tunes - some mighty fine picking there.

The song reminded me of my day today. LOL! Enjoyed it.

It's about time you got some more songs posted on here. Good work. You really know how to do things with BIAB and make the most of your efforts.

Val,

Thank you so much. Nurse Amy was just here harvesting the potato crop out of my ears and I can hear again! She said: "Howdy, Val!" but she speaks Oklahoman, you probably wouldn't understand her. I could really relate to Beethoven. I lose my hearing about once a week but she's been harvesting every Friday.

Now, young lady, when are we going to hear your new keyboard controller and more of your tunes.

Your care package finally left yesterday - long story...

Incidentally, a friend recently worked with Jacob Dylan (Wallflowers) and my name came up in conversion and Jacob said his dad remembers me very fondly. Couldn't get my Stetson off with a jackhammer all day yesterday.

Josie (another fine Oyrish name, btw), thank you, kiddo. All seriousness aside, you and Bob's compliments mean so much to this tired ole Irishman! Makes we wanna get back at it but I think that my ears need a break. I fear that I have a severe case of "Musical Genius Cramp!" Just you wait till the release of the forthcoming Dylan/Gaynor collaboration CD. Everybody knows about it except Mr. Zimmerman. LOL! BTW, you and your Bob are scheduled to do eight songs. Are you kids ready for prime time? Snicker. I guess stranger things have happened but I can't name a single incident. Chuckling up my sleeve.

Thanks for correcting how Looney is spelt. I was squinting at cursive through happy tears. See why I need you?

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
