Pitch Correction is a satire about why people use pitch correction.

I play the guitar, bass and the organ while the balance piano and drums are from BiaB’s “Bouncy Shuffle Gospel (120RT) style. The RTs were replaced with midi drums and honky-tonk piano.

I hope you like it for what it is.

PS – no more singing for me, it’s back to instrumentals!

Lyrics:

Pitch correction

V1- thank God, for pitch correction
With pitch correction I can’t miss
Thank God for pitch correction
Because with out it I sound like this

V2 thank god, for pitch correction
It gives my voice a little lift
I’m gonna sell 10 million CDs
Just like Taylor Swift

Bridge-I put the program
Into my DAW
Put it on my vocal track
An error message I saw

It said with a voice like yours
You won’t go far
So why not shut your big pie hole
And play your dam guitar

V3- thank God, for pitch correction
With pitch correction I can’t miss
Thank God for pitch correction
Because with out it I sound like this

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Hey Mario,

LOL. Fun song, I actually liked it.
Maybe some day BIAB will have a new feature called something like Real Vocals.
You just type in the lyrics and record the melody and select from a list of singers and voila Taylor Swift is singing your song.

HAHAHA Brilliant
Years ago I forget when but a video clip was on the Internetz when Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, was singing at an open air concert and her pitch correction failed and she was worse than you singing "I sound like this" considerably worse.

Thanx all for listening and taking the song for what it was intended for, i.e. NOT my vocal skills

I am going to heed the error message and I’m going back to instrumentals

Thanx all for listening and the king comments.

Rob, when I was playing out I sang a lot of harmony. Also to give our two “real” singers a break I would sing songs like Shout, Twist and Shout, Runaway (yes I USE to be able to sing the high part) and songs like that.

If you need me to sing harmony on any of your songs feel free to contact me, but do so at your own risk

Mario,
Good one. I got a good laugh out of it. I remember singing a song 30 years ago poking fun at the professional choruses of the day called "No One's Perfect" in which we had sing off key. That's hard to do, but as you point out, many of the recording "artists" today seem to have found a way.
