A avid user of the Voice Live Touch (VLT) recognized that TC-Helicon does not provide a PC based software editor, so he made one himself:

http://vlteditor.freeforums.org/voicelive-touch-demo-version-available-for-testing-t3.html

If you own the VLT get ready for some fun. More variables and tweeks than anyone ever knew.

By the way he is next working on an Editor for the VL2.

Thanks, Dan. I'll give this a try when I get home. I use the Voice Live Touch on every gig, but I've only scratched the surface exploring its functions.

Here is the complete development history:

Note my critical role in its inception way back in December of last year!

Hi Guys,

And Jazzmandan

Just found this forum, and noted mention of my Editor, I hope you have had a chance to have a play with it, I have uploaded a New demo, which allows colours changes for those that did not like the colours, and well as a few more tweeks.

If you get a chance, try the new demo, and post back any comments suggestions etc.

Regards

Ian

Man, these guys who can write code like this.... absolutely in awe. Going to have to read up on what this is exactly, but man, you wrote it yourself?

I smashed the hell out of my car today. When the cops came I told him "Officer, that guy was BOTH texting and drinking a beer." The cop said "Sir, he has every right to do that. I mean, it's HIS living room..."

Hi All,

Yep all my own work, I have had some help from Craig at TC, with some of the sysex implementation like style listings etc.

I am also developing a VL2 version along side. Hopefully a demo will be available shortly for that one.

If you have a wishlist for the application, please post on the http://vlteditor.freeforums.org/voicelive-touch-demo-version-available-for-testing-t3.html

I will try to put as many of the good ideas in the final release as possible.

Hi Everyone,

Just uploaded the updated Demo,

The program, now scans for the Voice Live Touch Sysex ID when it starts, which hopefully will help in starting it up.

You can now right click a panel to change it's colour.

If you have messed up your settings,
or have updated to beta firmware, and your voicelive touch is behaving oddly
or you can't get voicesupport to recognize your machine,

Run the editor, wait for it to start up completely, then type reset, you will be prompted before it updates your settings to default values, This procedure will not change any presets.

If you Click the Configuration Button, you can turn Advanced Mode on or off, which will disable the non editable parameters.

Enjoy

So here is a sneek preview of the current application prototype. This is a typical report that the VLT Editor generates for each saved setting . In the past this could only be edited on the device itself. For those of you who have done this you know how tedious this could be. Those days will soon be gone with the program launch.

Hi All,

With the release of the NEW Firmware for the Voice Live Touch, I have updated the software so you will need the New firmware for it to work.

Also I have added a slightly limited version of the LIVE mode in the DEMO Version

Hi All,

I have been busy re-designing the user interface of the editor.

The preset is editable in one screen.
The editor is scalable, so just hit the maximize button.
control value can be edited directly by clicking the value
It now has 4 themes to chose from

Final release imminent

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
