Forget the upgrade, I just want a rich wife and a couple of girlfriends like you guys seem to have.

You will likely find more takers for that than you wish.....

I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

1. How much did you make in 2023?
2. Send it to us.

It's almost Month number 7 so I have a feeling PG must be working on something pretty special... or maybe they are just really distracted by that crazy, unshaven, guy a wailin' and a pickin' on his banjo and camping out in the parking lot:)

Waiting for the next update to BIAB is getting to be like waiting for the Super Bowl so we can see the new commercials.

hey! I resemble that!

I wonder what they'll do for version 2013? Concerns about customer superstition have led to renaming schemes for lots of products through the years. Even many buildings number the floors ..10, 11, 12, 14 skipping the use of number 13 as a floor name.

Maybe they'll focus on a special feature and call it something like

1) THE MIDI EXTRAVAGANZA VERSION
2) BACKING TRACKS GONE WILD

or maybe that version will be so utter different that they'll have to change the name to
3) BAND OUTSIDE THE BOX!

or maybe they'll spend all year focusing on the most asked-for wishlist items from the past 10 years, and call it
4)THE WISHLIST SPECIAL EDITION

or maybe they'll make all the new real tracks for one featured instrument, and name that version
5) STRINGS! or WORLD! or ORCHESTRA!

or maybe they'll change the interface and revamp the image with a name like
6) PG Songwriter's Toolkit v.1.0

Or not. My strategy here is to start looking so far ahead that the time between now and version 2012.5 seems shorter

PG never lets us know before it comes out. I understand why. I announced my new fake disks would be ready a couple of months ago, and I just uploaded them last night. It seems that as soon as you announce a projected date, unexpected problems rear their ugly heads and cause a delay. Murphy's law, I guess

Brand new 2012.5 updates from Norton Music:
  • 2 new style disks for Band-in-a-Box
  • 2 new free (with a purchase) fancy intro/ending disks for Real Band and other DAW's
  • The Ultimate Gospel Fake Disk
  • The Real Rock Fake Disk (plenty of classic rock in this one)
  • The Beatles Fake Disk
  • And an updated Christmas Fake Disk

Hundreds of Free .sgu and .mp3 demos for the above at: http://www.nortonmusic.com

Well I suppose after many months of silence we suddenly see ads on every forum. It is very hard to miss the bold faced sale flyer attaced to each riveting post.

Y Note..I have a 50 buck Yamaha keyboard selling for 699.99 and it comes with the 7 year old manual on how to make PDF work in vm. Riveting work by rosy. Pickup only any day not ending in y, about sundown.

Yeah, the truckers with the new hard drives are frightened to drive past him in case he bites.

They are the chord progressions to songs in BiaB format. If you go to http://www.nortonmusic.com/fake.html and then click on one of the titles that interests you you can download free samples. Just look at the right hand side of the page where the song list is, and if you see one that is a hyperlink, click on it and download. Then play in Band-in-a-Box.

Most of the fake disks were done with off-the-shelf books by publishers like Hal Leonard, Warner Brothers, Alfred, etc. and entered as close to the book arrangement as the limitations of BiaB allow. So if you have the book, simply open the book, load the corresponding fake disk file, and play along.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
