We just got back from our vacation/holiday yesterday and today I had the coming home blues. So I turned on my computer, generated some RealTrack BiaB backing tracks and just jammed away; first take on the lead part. The total time on this one is about one hour!

The guitar tone is my Kramer KnightRider through the free Amplitude 3 preset “Blue Sky”. The only change I made was to add the Diode Overdrive prior to the delay.

The BiaB style was _mondor-slow sw8 blues w/organ. I just took what Biab gave me and ran with it.

So here is I'm Blue Today warts and all. I hope you like it for what it is.

Ain't Amplitube a great companion to BIAB?

Certain parts of this reminded me of Crosby Stills Nash and Young but I can't recall which song.

Sounds like you had fun with it! One hour eh? That's got to be a record! (pun intended) It takes me longer than an hour to get my cords untangled

Great Title Mario! I'm Blue Today Warts and All, you should write some lyrics along those lines! Nice job on the settings of Amplitude, I've never been very good at setting software pedals up. Hope you and your warts get to feeling better! lol

Thanx all for listening and the kind comments.

JCJazz, no I did not make it to the JazzFest. We were up at the 1000 Islands celebrating our 45 wedding anniversary. Actually our anniversary was on 7/1 but we could only book the room for the last week in June.

I am about 45 miles from Fairport, however my playing days are over. I just play for me now! I just sold my big guitar amp and I use only my computer, a Behringer V-Amp Pro or a Roland MicroCube amp. The MicroCube I use for both recording and jamming with friends.

Hey Mario,

How impressive is this song! I sat listening with my eyes closed and it was so easy to imagine the whole group on stage. Your work always has a polished professionalism and this is no exception.

All the best,
Noel

Mario,

I have been out for a couple of months, but I sure am glad I didn't miss this one. Very nice!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
