Hey, if United broke a guitar of mine, I wouldn't get off their back until the entire fleet was grounded....

Guys, I once spent $500 to sue someone who owed me $300. I gambled and won to get the legal fees added to his tab, but I would have done it JUST to get the worm's name in the paper as an unscrupulous business man. I guess you could say I'm stubborn... In fact if you open up Wikipedia, look up "grudge", There MIGHT be a picture of me next to it.

I do understand what you are all saying, but it's not so easy at 61 years of age to suddenly turn off something in your personality and makeup that has been there your whole life. I was a street brawling kind from the inner city ghetto in Cleveland Ohio who grew up during the Hough Riots of 1966. I grew up to know that nobody has your back and you have to protect yourself from all directions at all times or somebody will take advantage of you, and not much has happened in my life to disprove that theory.

You can't get that by making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Have you heard of the "Boy Who Cried Wolf"?

Eddie:

It may be hard at 61, but it's probably worth the try.

Grudges and revenge rarely work out well in the long run.

As my wise wife reminds me, "It's like taking poison and waiting for the OTHER guy to die."

What I like is that Eddie has gained 10 additional years of his life from this episode.

Eddie,

Forget the "try a little tenderness" advice.

Instead why not try a little "meat tenderizer"!

I heard that "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" got good reviews

2052!! Should be a GREAT year!!! Even if my math IS 10 years off!!! Or my typing is 10 years off.... And I am NOT going to go back and edit.

Actually if I hit 65 or 66 I will be thrilled. Between the arthritis and the diabetes.... not looking great. This may have to be the last year I play my annual reunion because my hands are so riddled I can barely move my fingers fast enough to play the sax without a LOT of pain. But it is what it is, and so be it.

These people at this company deliberately posted a bogus date to garner preorders, assuming that nobody would cancel when the bogus promised date passed

It's impossible to prove this, but let's look at the facts. Is it likely that the supplier would give the correct date to all the retailers except one? As this date was most likely released in a bulk email, the answer has to be no.

What has the retailer got to gain? All the advance orders. What has the retailer got to lose? Nothing.

It would be naive to think that this isn't a widespread practice in a competitive market.

If Eddie believes it's a scam, he's right to let off steam -it's better than having a heart attack. Come on guys, Eddie's one of our own - give him some support!

Eddie,

Something worth trying for your arthritis is "Elmore Oil".

http://elmoreoil.com.au/

A work friend of mine (70 years old) who had really swollen, painful arthritic knuckles and fingers, regularly applied the oil and, within a couple of months, the swelling had all but gone entirely and her knuckles looked a whole heap better. Her pain had been markedly reduced, too. I was very impressed. I know that if arthritis knocks at my door, I'll be getting some of this for sure.

I thought I'd share this with you in case you're interested.

Regards,
Noel

Bookmarked and will read up on it more. Thank you. With a testimonial from a "real" person I tend to believe it more than what they'd put on their web page.

And that's the point, Rog. Amercian Musical, Sweetwater, Guitar Center.... ALL of them said "End of July". If it is true that Akai told everybody the same thing, then PSSL was also told "End of July". Yet they chose to post on the web page "Shipping July 13th". Circumstantial as that may be, by your very logic, they were told one thing and posted another. And that's why I am mad. Had they left it at "End of July" I would not have ordered so early. Note also that they accepted my payment immediately when I put the order in, though the web page said I would not be charged until the item shipped.

and you chose to ignore the overwhelming evidence that everybody else was predicting a different ship date.

Come on Eddie! You're not a victim mentality kind of guy... many of your posts have shown otherwise. Just admit there's a bit of culpability on both sides of the equation and move on.

I've been on both sides of the equation. I would always qualify delivery dates as "a good faith estimate." There are far to many variables.

Is this what all the drama is about?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qsf9q3zrIDg&feature=endscreen&NR=1

So it took a while and I did get over the guys hairdoo, but I guess I would have to hear a lot more to see the value. I guess I need to eventually hear what you do with it Eddie.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
