Excuse my ignorance, but Eddie what does this unit do. How do you (or do you) use it with RB/BIAB?

Heck my hair is fading so fast I might even dye it blue if I had that much left!

What I wonder is that if he buys that Ronco colored hair spray junk if it comes in blue to match his awful haircut...

How does a guy with a hair style like that know when he needs a haircut? And doesn't he have a wife of somebody to tell him how awful he looks?

Well, on second thought, and after watching the video again, I'll retract that last statement as asked and answered....

One of the truths I have learned in my many years is that patience, and understanding goes a long way.

Not in just your relationship with others, but far more important is you own well being.

This is not world peace, just a purchase of equipment.

In interfaces with your iPad and allows you to compose using any number of software programs, save to WAV, then you can bring that work into RB or Sonar or wherever to sweeten. It does a lot of looping, has drum pads onboard, and it generally has the cool factor.

IF they every ship it. It is a year late already. Akai blamed Apple. Apple blamed Akai.

Not YET , anyway.... had the store been in that state up north I would have had some suspicion that he was working against The Buckeye Nation....

ROG, i hear ya, but i think we all have Eddie's back. I just know that those who hold on to anger, and allow negative thoughts, can do a lot of damage to themselves. Nothing like this is worth getting to steamed up about.

I have allowed myself to get fired up many times in the past, and vented on the phone to some poor employee that was just doing his or her job, (and i might add for far less money than they deserved). None of this did one single thing to help me. Nothing but frustration, high blood pressure, and loss of personal peace.

I am trying to learn, and share the anger does not make the item appear any sooner. I remember one time i ordered something, and they promised a delivery date, and it came and went and no product. I called and they updated me, and that past as well. Well i blew my top and cancelled the order, and reordered somewhere else. Guess what that one took time as well. I go the item even later than i would have if I had kept the first order intact.

The truth is, that i did myself a disservice, and cost myself a lot of pain. And in the long run no one at the first company truly remembers me or cares how i feel. All i amounted to was a brief moment in time where a "complete jerk called and made a fool of himself", in their eyes that is.

The lesson I learned is, that I strive to not allow the incompetence of others take the joy and peace from my day.

Instead of gettin' all emotional over the deal, I suggest contacting their sales dept. directly, staying cool and TALKING with them about the disappointment, let them know that you are somewhat understanding that sometimes things like this can indeed be beyond their control (for example, they may be telling the truth, that the mfr is the one who promised THEM a drop deat delivery date and did not come across for whatever reason) -- and then politely ask if they can do something to make you happy about the deal. At least shave off a bit of the originally agreed upon price or the likes, eh?

After reading Mac's post, I'm suddenly reminded of the old saying, "You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar." I like that saying.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
