I started in BIAB with a midi file that I had done in PrintMusic. The melody was way too loud so I went to the Events List and made a couple of changes. Well, it just kept changing to loud again so I decided to check things out in RB. I soon discovered that there were not only 1 line voluume changes but many others with 20-25 lines! What? I went through the entire events list and found that 10 changes went up and then 10 went down as if someone was trying a crescendo dimuendo. Weird! Obviously this was done by PrintMusic when I saved to midi. No, I didn't put any dynamics in. My point is if you use other software or import midi files, you might want to take some time to check the events list first and make sure the control codes are what you want where you want. Make sure you save your "corrected/edited" file with a different name. Playing stump the chump is just too time consuming.

Okay, I found the solution right in BIAB. Just don't have the pich bend box checked when you import a midi file. I think......

If you use Edit-Cut but enable the 'data filter' option you can easily cut any controllers you want with pretty accurate options. Chek just the Control Change box, set the Number(s) and cut. This feature makes it easy to edit any particular note, controller, etc

That data filter option is available in a bunch of key places. I think Transpose offers it, and a few other MIDI related edit options.

So far the easiest way that I've found to get rid of excess cc7's is using the events list in Sonar.
