If you don't like Country, you're gonna HATE this. Always wanted this song to have that "tinkly country piano" and a pedal steel. Thanks to PGMusic and BIAB, that is now possible!!!

Feeling Nothing At All

Here are the RealTracks:

Style is WALTZIN.STY (Waltzin' - Slow Sw. Waltz)

RealTracks in song: ~1121:Bass, Acoustic, CountryWaltz Sw 085
RealTracks in song: 1884:Piano, Acoustic, Soloist Country12-8John Sw 065 (Bluesy)
RealTracks in song: ~824:Guitar, Acoustic, Strumming Country Waltz Sw 085
RealTracks in song: ~1126:Pedal Steel, Rhythm CountryWaltz Sw 085
RealDrums in Song: NashvilleWaltzSw^2-a:Sidestick, Hihat , b:Snare, Ride

I added an acoustic guitar, vocal and harmonies.

As always, comments/suggestions welcomed.

floyd,

I like country, I like country waltz's.
Hence you've got a real winner here.
Your vocals are powerful, and the harmony adds nice touch.
Your lyrics tell an awfully sad heartbreaking story.

The tinkelies sound good me.

I could not listen to this too many times, you are very convincing
with your vocals. I'd have tear in my beer.

Thanks for your hard work, and sharing with us!

Guys - thanks for listening and for the comments. Obviously, no one does this type of song these days - the comparisons all being 30 (?) years back - Gilley, Kenny, Willie - and I had forgotten about Charlie Rich. The piano does sound a lot like his playing. It's nice to be able to "call on" John Jarvis when you need him....

Wow - you really captured what "real country music" should sound like. You hit all the marks - sad, booze, broken heart... - it's a 70s hit! What a fantastic hook line. I think this is great. And I too cheer BIAB. I gave my band off for a few weeks but I will be calling them back any day now.

Great work!

Floyd,

I just took your style information and created _WALTZIN RT's with it.
Listened to that song so many times.

Am going to create a melodist with it and then try it on a song.

Appreciate your sharing and just love the song...Again.....

Nice slow country groove. I find it harder to mix songs of that tempo than any other. Good tears in the beer and saw dust on the floor lyrics also.

Mootsman - thanks for the listen. The only hard thing about ths one was getting the piano to "fit". The rest just fell into place.

seeker - glad that you could get something out of this. Keep in mind - the piano track is not necessarily meant for this style or tempo. I generated about 25 different version - the variety was amazing. Of those, I heard about 5 that had licks that I liked (thought were right for what I was after). From those 5, I picked pieces to come up with the final track....

Hi Floyd,

You sure know how to maintain "consistently excellent". I sat back, closed my eyes and just listened. It was great.

All the best,
Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
