This is what I've always thought of as a "chunka-chunka" song. The guitar part feeling like it's going chunka-chunka through out. It was a bit more difficult than I expected to find Relatracks to do it (it is a style that is used a lot), but they are there if you look... Hope you enjoy it. Comments welcomed, as always. Floyd,
This "AIN'T" no copy of anything.
The beat is great to me, dance music to a "Tee".
"Look and her and tell me" key change is nice touch.
As before, great music!

Although this is not my genre I must admit that the groove took me away. Good voice and harmony. The bar structure is special in a good way. I liked listening.

Really dig this one, like your others. Really liked the way you slid into the chorus. Tricky bugger! Regards, Bob

Enjoyed listening..your work is always interesting because you can see that all kinds of little creative things are inserted---makes a "pretty good" song into something much better.
The especially like your handling of "I aint' goin' nowhere" in the lyrics was very creative. Your vocals are very nice I really liked your chord transition into the bridge.
First time I've heard the word "vocabulary" used in a country song! Good job!
--and thanks, I've been looking for that "chunk-a" beat for another project I'm working on...now I know where to find it.

Hi Floyd. I really enjoy listening to your stuff and aspire to be a similar type of songwriter. I like the idea of simple lyrics, simple melody and a simple message (although I am sure it is not quite so simple to write!) Keep on writing... JosieC

If this groove is chunka-chunka, I like the chunka-chunka ;-) Very tasty work with the guitars, and the arrangement is perfect.

Hi Floyd,
I haven't heard chunka-chunka style before! It's very engaging. As with all your work, I sit back and admire the skill that threads itself every single aspect of what you do. From tip to tail, this is might good stuff.
All the best, Noel

Bob - that was a bit tricky... the measure leading into the chorus is a 3 beat measure (just kind of "happened" that way). BIAB handled that without blinking an eye. I added the guitar lick that goes along with the title and then Brent picked it up from there...thanks for listening.
Pat - Thanks for that. If I have managed to find "it", whoever lost it, ain't getting it back.
Kevin - thanks. I have to tell you again - i like your style. can't imagine why the song would stop for you (you missed the "payoff").

I tried it again -- played all the way through this time just fine. The groove is a little jj cale, but the treatment is more "country". Good stuff.

Joanne - thank you - that's a very nice thing to say. It's just a matter of "keeping at it" - the more you write, the easier it gets. keep it "natural". keep it conversational. if you write something down, then read it back and can't say "I would say that to someone", strike it out and find something else. and... it should "sing well" without having to "stretch" anything or rush anything. the singing of the words should be as natural as the "conversation" is.
Noel - appreciate your comments, as always.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
