A little love song. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=1176543&songID=12144886A Woman And A Man ©2012 Robert Randall Burke A crowded room A subtle glance A fleeting promise Of romance It's been this way Since time began Between a woman and a man. A whispered word A gentle touch A knowing smile That means so much It's in the script It's in the plan For a woman and a man. A stolen kiss A soft caress Passion's fire You can't resist. Soft music plays As we embrace A darkened room A secret place It's been this way Since time began Between a woman and a man. Bob,
Awesome. Gorgeous. Beautiful. "On all levels", as Noel would say... Song is incredible. Beautiful melody and beautiful lyric. Simple and elegant. The tracks are perfect - the mix, too. Nice guitar that you added as well.
And your vocal - outstanding.
A big WOW!

Man, this is so good! Simple lyrics and great delivery. I enjoyed the tune too and the middle 8 guitar playing the double stops - EXCELLENT!! I was surprised at the long slow fade out ending - very right for the song and it also stops you having to figure out a decent BIAB ending - lol! Top Class stuff, Bob Many thanks ian

The music sets the mood for the lyrics perfectly. Enjoyed the song a lot. It would a good fit for Michael Buble. Nice guitar as well.

Love the song Bob. One change I would make. The last note should go down and hold a bit.

Bob, there is nothing little about this song! It is top shelf all the way.
As soon as I heard the chord progression and your outstanding vocal all I could think of is that the Frank Sinatra would have grabbed this one as soon as he heard it.
Fantastic work here!
This is a keeper!
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Put me in the same boat as the rest of the crew, this is a wonderful song. For some strange reason it brought to mind Beauty and The Beast and that is a good thing as that too is an awesome melody.
Some melodies just grab me and this one did just that, heck I would love to put that song in my playlist for next week's gigs.
Later,

This is superb.... I am starting to feel too inhibited to post songs on here, with the escalating quality like this one. Tasteful, balanced, understated, moving.... Love to use adjectives.
I am haunted by a vague memory of another song, with the lyric, "... between a woman and a man." I can't quite grasp it, but maybe it's a reggae tune. Can you help me out?

Floyd, Ian, Austin, Guenter, Robert, Rob, Mario, Danny, Curt and Brad, Thanks for listening and the kind remarks. I just did a copyright search and found one song with a similar title - “The difference between a woman and a man” by Bobby Braddock, who as it happens, co-wrote “He Stopped Loving Her Today” for George Jones, which is my favorite Country song of all time. Kate Bush has a song called “Between A Man And A Woman”, but I've never heard it or Kate Bush. I don't listen to much music. I also found this one by “Flogging Molly”. Grand drinking music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kym1XICgcOARegards, Bob

Bob: I got it, it came to me overnight, in the memorable voice of Peter Gabriel. Took a while to find it, though. It is "Blood of Eden," on the album called "Us". Not reggae, but sounds African to me. And coincidentally, Kate Bush (a very fine artist, worth looking up) has done some memorable tracks with Gabriel, but not on this album. Here, done with Paula Cole: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkXeUE5gvRs

VERY nice song Bob! Very classy ... to expand on what Danny said, it would be a home run in any live set. I can easily imagine the dance floor filling up with couples who are living the lyrics.
Two thumbs up!

Bob, that's a really excellent piece of work. I adore the chord progression. It's all been said above; top drawer track.

That's a beautiful song,Brad. There's another that I thought of - "Man To Woman" by Daniel Lavoie. Check it out.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
