While we're buried in so much snow I've been thinking how nice it would be to enjoy those island breezes so I created my own. Hope you'll enjoy them too!

This was created completely in Band-In-A-Box using RealTracks for the Uke and Bass and Real Track 970 for the Pedal Steel

Hi Val,

What a lovely, restful composition. Sitting here listening with my eyes closed, I'm finding the journey through the song very calming and soothing; it's like I'm floating along on a dream.

All the best,
Noel

I enjoyed your island breezes.
You really transported some summer feeling.
Good use of BIAB.

I can even see Bing singing to Rosemary as they ride in the outrigger. Now if I could just hear his lyric I would write it down.

OK now I can't be anymore relaxed . . . Thank You!

Very nice and restful, Val.
Cleverly executed in Biab. Well done.
Mountainside - We would be hard pressed to see any dolphins from here - we're in the very middle of England, at least 70 miles form any coast. However, last September I was entranced to see the wild dolphins playing off Anna Maria Island pier almost every time we went on there.
Great Memories.
cheers
ian

Hi Val. Well there’s no snow in South Africa at the moment. We are in a heat wave! Lovely tune. Especially liked the slide guitar.

Noel, Glad you found it relaxing, that was the intent of this song. I was re-creating memories of the vacation we took to Hawaii several years ago. A magical time, never to be forgotten.

Mountainside..We didn't get to see any porpoise but we did get to see the humpback whales. It was quite a site! We stood and watched them frolicing about for the longest time.

Dannyc..
Sorry this doesn't have any lyrics..may write some later. Thanks for listening and commenting.

Sixchannel (Ian)...We didn't see any dolphins in Hawaii, but we did see a lot of them when we lived in Florida.

Jo131..Sure wish you could bottle up some of your heat wave and send it over here. Tried to listen to your new song this morning but for some reason I had no sound. My internet has been giving me fits lately so will try again later. Thanks for listening and for your comments.

Cool.....and the several interpretations of the word "cool" fit it. Few people realize how popular Hawaiian music was in the 1920's and how much the slide guitar influenced both blues and country.

Floyd Jane,
Thanks for listening. I have great regard for your special talent with the mixing. I wish it could be passed along by osmosis or just by listening to your songs. But alas I fear I must try to learn by picking up clues here and there.

Mootsman, I like your interpretation of COOL! Thanks for listening and commenting.

Beautiful, very relaxing as it transported me to the beaches!

Thanx I needed this as we just got through another snow storm a couple of days ago!

Super mix!

Two thumbs up.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

MarioD, Thanks for listening. Hope it helped to melt some of that snow! Sorry it took me so long for me to get back to you. Have been taking care of my new Great, Great Grandchild and that leaves little time to work on music or visit the forum. But well worth the time spent!

Val

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
