Lawrence,

Enjoyable song - very catchy - gets ya singing along by the end. Very tasty production (would love to see the RT list - did you play the acoustic?).
Another great vocal (and harmony).

Looking forward to more.

I like the simple background and rock solid vocals

And it never hurts to have a catch phrase that everybody can identify with

Floyd Jane, here is the list, all RT's: 616 mandolin, 959 Acoustic Guitar, 1143 Uke, 437 Alto Sax older, RD Nash Sw 8^1 snare, ride. I messed around with some reggae (drum and bass) but couldn't get it to blend right. eventually I took bass guitar out all together for some space.

Pat, I auditioned a lot of instruments before I was able to pare it down and go simple.

Guenter thank you for commenting, glad you enjoyed it

This day is better than many that I have had lately because I just finished listening to this fantastic song. The mix is spot on and the vocals and lyrics are super.

Hi Lawrence,

Please add me to your list of fans. This is a really catchy tune. The chorus appealed to me greatly - it's very simple, very memorable, and impossible not to sing along with!

All the best,
Noel

A good bounce along tune with a catchy chorus.....The sax at the end reminded me of Lisa Simpson walking out the door, over the credits, at the start of the Simpsons BRILLIANT in my mind anyway. An excellent way to end the song.

Lawrence,

In your song you took the "Bad Licks" in life and turned this
music into a happy, supportive story.

Could not help but think of "Don't worry be Happy".

Thanks for sharing this upbeat music!

Alyn, thank you, I was always a fan of Lisa and that sax outro, I wouldn't doubt that influenced my ending

FrankB, For me it is more difficult to write the upbeat, uptempo songs. When I do, it is a very purposeful, "I'm going to do this" kind of writing experience.

Outstanding! Just about the coolest groove I've heard of late. Clever arrangement and fine lyrics and vocals. Thanks for the post.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
