I’m gonna wear my bunny-suit
I’m gonna put my bunny suit on
I’m gonna wear my bunny-suit
And roll around my front yard
I’m gonna crawl and I might cry ‘neth the moon
I’m gonna carry on

You done made a fool of me
and made it look so easy
Made a big [*****]
Out of me
I’m gonna put my bunny suit on
I’m gonna carry on, I’m gonna carry on

Well I’m gonna do whatever it takes
You feel so naked when your heart brakes
It’s alright honey I know how you do
I might not be now, but one day I’ll get over you

I’m gonna wear my bunny-suit
I’m gonna put my bunny suit on
I’m gonna wear my bunny-suit
And roll around my front yard
I’m gonna crawl and I might cry ‘neth the moon
I’m gonna carry on

I’m gonna carry on, I’m gonna carry on

Maybe it's just me but I am now poking sticks into my eyes to erase the vision of you in a Playboy bunny suit shocked blush ...apart from that I enjoyed the song

I really like the concept of this song. "I'm gonna put my bunny suit on" is such an absurd line to hear under any circumstance that it caught my attention right away and got me listening for tie-ins to the bunny suit.

and though you did make reference to rolling around in the front yard and crying beneath the moon... those aren't things I normally associate with bunnies.

After being humiliated by a woman, I might want to be invisible... like Harvey, James Stewart's invisible rabbit friend

After lowering my defenses to a lover, then getting surprised by an emotional ambush, torn up like a rabbit in the jaws of a pit bull... there's imagery that could apply

Maybe before she made me look like a jack@$$, I melted in her arms like a chocolate easter rabbit sitting in a sunny window

and maybe after the rejection, I would feel the need to shed the Jack@$$ suit she dressed me in and return to a time when life was trusting, uncomplicated and unravaged... back when I still wore the bunny suit

etc etc etc... you've opened the door here to all kinds of imagery, then didn't develop it sufficiently to justify the inclusion of something as unexpected as a bunny suit.

But, don't take that as a criticism ... its more of an observation, based on my own personal expectations. I really like being blind-sided by a totally unexpected concept in a song. And Jeez... BUNNY SUIT... it doesn't get much more unexpected than that!

Hi Gruverider,

"I might not be now, but one day I’ll get over you" - but
not with your bunny suit on.
I really enjoyed that (lyrics and performance).

Lawrence,

That was fun. If someone told me it was the latest Randy Newman song, I wouldn't blink an eye...

Thank you all for giving it a listen.

I wrote it while watching the trailer for the movie "Where The Wild Things Are" I thought the boy was wearing a bunny suit (it's a wolf suit), and I thought that would be a fun line for a song.

Well, for better or worse Janice and I have exactly the sense of humor type to love this right off the bat. Maybe that's why we dig Todd Snyder and Robert Earl Keen. This fits right in their play list. ALL aspects of the production are spot on.

Thanks for letting us hear it!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
