Tom,

Nicely done. There are some funny words in the bridge I couldn't understand smile .... good write...

Hey! I know that band!... Great job on the acoustic leads. They are mixed in perfectly - recorded so well... what type mic are you using to do that?

floyd

Tommy,

This is my "new" favorite of yours. I would love for you to explain how the harmonies were done. Well done indeed.

PS: Like Floyd some of the bridge almost sounded like a different language to me. :>

Great Song!

Floyd and Danny, Thanks Guys. The mic for the acoustics and the vocals is a real workhorse. Audio Technica AT 4033a. Danny, The harmonies are me singing the two parts.

There is a great preset EQ in logic for background singers. Add a little reverb and hope for the best. I realize that the harmonies are way upfront but I tried a lot of different mixes

and I liked this one the best. I also want to tout my new toy Ozone5 mastering. It has made a huge difference in my finished sound. Floyd, I saw the smiley face. You made me

laugh. I found that when singing in Spanish it's very hard to roll your R's. The bridge is el amor de mi vida ya no me quieres dejar algo sin terminar.

Thanks again for the comments. Tom

Tommy,

The only thing I thought was missing was a little dash of spanish "flavor" peppered in the music arrangement. I know that is so totally subjective but when you're singing spanish.....well....LOL!

Nice work. Always impressed with your sound.

RealTracks Artist Pat Martino

We are saddened to hear of the passing of jazz guitar legend Pat Martino yesterday.

Pat was part of our RealTracks Artist "Jazz Pollwinners 2" series in 2014. You can learn about Pat and listen to his RealTracks contribution here.

Pat had been playing guitar since he was just 12 years old, and devoted himself to music in grade ten. On top of years of performing (he began playing professionally in 1961), Pat received many awards for his playing, including the "Jazz Legacy" Award in 2016 presented by Pennsylvania State Senator Vincent Hughes and his wife Sheryl Lee Ralph-Hughes.
