I have a song that has 4 bar intro, then has 38 bar section that repeats 3 times. Then there is a tag ending that lasts 5 bars. It plays fine but I cannot get it to print the 42 bar song plus the tag. I have tried notation window and leadsheet. I can force it to print all the bars but it will not put in the repeat/tag sign. Thanks for any help.

Hi, In the Help file when I searched for "print tag", I found the following tip. With this in mind ... In the Lead Sheet Window, select "Print" to enter into the Print Options. Over on the right there are a number of options. The above tip is referring to the "Last chorus" selection in this group called 'Print Range'. I suspect that to get the song to print with the tag, it's necessary to select "Whole song". Hope this helps. Noel P.S. I've never used tag endings. This is just a bit of guess work on my part. Please let me know the outcome

When in LeadSheet view, hit the Options button. Then: Print Range (First Chorus/Last Chorus/Whole Song)
You can either print the First chorus, the Last chorus, or the whole song. When you change this setting, Band-in-a-Box will reset the number of staves per page setting in order to auto-fit the printout to one page, if possible.
The [Custom] button allows you to select a custom range of bars to be printed.
Tip: You'll want to print the last chorus in a song that has a tag ending, or if you want to see a 2-bar ending printed.

Hi,
Another option would be check the "Fake Sheet Mode" box in the Leadsheet window, and select "Whole Song" as your print range.
That way your chorus will only print once, and both your intro and tag ending will be included.
Thanks Kent PG Music

That worked. I never tried whole song figuring I would get 6 pages or something. Thanks.

I have to do this all the time for the instruments in my band and I would always use the Green Button to the Leadsheet Window (Alt W) to print the Fake Sheet, as Kent recommended. It is worthwhile pointing out that before printing you should have a look at the 'Opt' button, where you can tick not only "Fakesheet including ending bar" but also "Fakesheet displays multiple lines of lyrics". You will have to alter the "Staves per page" to make sure there is enough room for the required number of lines of lyrics.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
