I would like to be able to play a few bars of intro on my keyboard without playing BIAB and, more importantly, I would like to play the intro WITH NO STRICT TEMPO. I would then like BIAB to start playing in tempo and in perfect sync with the first note I play at the start of the verse. So far I haven't been able to get BIAB to do this even using a foot pedal.
The best I have come up with is to program my foot pedal to send "spacebar" and load the song with "play when chosen" in Songpicker unticked. I can then play the intro as slow as I like and hit the pedal as I play the first note after the intro. This works but there is always an unacceptable delay with RT styles before the song starts (even when frozen) There is no delay the second time I play a song.
Up to now I have always used "pause play until midi or key received" then double click on the first bar to generate the song which then starts in perfect sync with the first note I play. This doesn't work now because I want to play the intro without BIAB so I have to have this option unticked. Also I cannot double click after loading because this generates AND plays the song. It would be nice if there was a keyboard shortcut to generate a song ready to play (i.e. like a double click) but I cannot find one.
Any ideas on how I can do this without a delay?

cant you just set the bar settings on the intro lower tempo and to mute all instruments then on the first measure on the bar settings set the tempo\ instrumentd back to normal? that way you can still do the process you did before???

cant you just set the bar settings on the intro lower tempo and to mute all instruments then on the first measure on the bar settings set the tempo\ instrumentd back to normal? that way you can still do the process you did before??? I really don't want to play the intro in a fixed tempo, even if it is slower. Also I would have to keep exactly to the reduced tempo with the sound muted. I have tried this and it is very difficult to stay in sync with BIAB especially for a long intro. I have moved this thread to the Windows forum Tony

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
