Christmas Time (Music and words by Dani)

It´s that time of the year we´ve all waited for, for so long
Christmas time, a time to celebrate like before, with a song
gather friends and family together at last, like a cast
from the past, may the yuletide forever last, may it last

Have I been good enough to receive some gifts this year, again?
Am not sure, but I hope I tried my best every now and then

So, let it snow so we all have to mush, in deep snow
there´s no rush, as we all will have to push on slow, what a show

Gonna take me a trip to the grave where my dearest lies so still
a prayer on a strip I´ll read. light a candle the darkness to fill
For you, this is my little gift for you, all my friends
if I hurt someone I hope this will make amends, my friends

Wishing you a Merry Little Christmas time, fade away....

Dani,

Cool stuff in this one. I liked your instrumentation (although some jingle bells in the end would have been a nice touch).

Nice vocal. and a very cool ending...

Merry Christmas to you!

floyd

PS - how about singing one in Finnish for us...

Hi, Floyd !:))

Thank you for your most kind comments !:))
I would sing a finnish song if I knew any !!!
Have never been overly interested in minor key
tunes (shows that I am actually a barbershopper at
heart !) , but.......I will play one for you !:))

http://app.box.com/s/fvtem1s1ln4lpgbytw94

This is "Isontalonantti ja Rannanjärvi" a finnish
traditional that is about two of the meanest criminals
this country had ever seen !:)) You can find out
more on wikipedia I guess !:)) The one I am playing
here on my american built Ovation acoustic is a jazzy
version of that old traditional ! :)) Hope you´ll enjoy !
The backing is all BIAB !!

Hi, David !:))

Well, you know, that sounds nice !
I wrote this tune to celebrate all my
friends all over the world!
I know I was out too early,
as most people cannot relate to
Christmas before Thanksgivin´is bypassed ?:))
Now, up here in the North, we do not
really recognize Thanksgiving day as a
Ceremonial day, so I was not aware of the
situation before now !:)) David,I am thankful
for your kind comments:))

Floyd, I have tons of guitar music I´ve played
but they are covers and thus I cannot post them here !:))
I sent you one in the PM !

Cheers
Dani

PS !

I started to play lead guitar only a year ago, have
been a rhytm guitarrist since childhood days, so
I am a little shaky and my fingers don´t want to
move as fast as I want them to ! (chuckle...giggle...)!::))

Nicely done! (BTW, Wikipedia really doesn't say much more than you already did).

Cool tune.... it has a slight island feel to it...

And yeah, it's almost time for Christmas stuff to start happening....

I saw someone had hung some decorations in a tree in front of their house...

Nice job.

Hi, Herb !

Thank you for your kind review !
Must be the jazzfunk that gives that
Island feel to it ?
One day I hope to learn how to use
Realtracks too ?:))
