Hey Tommy
A real nice tune. What a great theme, I hope people do take notice of how we all need to take care of each other a bit more. I liked the (more-or-less) acapella style lead-in for first two verses with just vocals and guitar, and then bringing in the rhythm section "A tempo" at 1:20. Worked nice.
Great job.

Hi Tom,
A very memorable song with a great, thought-provoking theme. I enjoyed the ride. It is very well written, very well performed and mixed with the skill of an expert.

Hi Tommy A well thought out song with a theme that is all too familiar. You can believe that it is an "Issue" here in the UK as well. I shall not get on my Soapbox about it save to say that more direct action needs to be taken by Teachers and School Staff. A great song, Tommy - this should go out World-wide. cheers ian

Hi, Tommy !:))
Where I live knowadays I do not see that kind of situations, but your tune brought back a lot of memories from school times. In fact, your tune touched me to the point that I got something unexpected in my eyes !:)
The message came through, clearly !
Cheers Dani

Tom,
Everything about this shines. A very well-written song. An important subject, well treated. You said exactly what needed to be said without bogging down and without "preaching" - story well told. Perfect. Solid vocal and harmony. Good production and mix. Terrific guitar work.
Super.

I can add nothing to the above. Particularly floyd's comments about not bogging down and/or becoming preachy. It's hard to pull off a song like this but you did a wonderful job of it. The theme, the singing, the picking, and the mix all work together for a powerful statement.

Floyd and Bud, Thanks for checking in on this one. I am glad that you picked up on the lack of preaching. My take on this is to just tell the story, get the point across and let the listener draw the conclusion. Soapbox preaching can ruin the message. Thanks again to both of you, I have the highest regard for both of your opinions. Tom

Very good song and performance Tommy. The only thing I would add would be one more chorus where the bullied kid decides enough is enough then just WOPS the living you know what out of the bully.
Merry Christmas,

Tommy,
nice job on the writing and recording. Good treatment of the topic.
I think your voice really shines on this.... you have a good voice for country music. Acoustic sounds good too.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.comAdd nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

SD, Thanks for the listen and the comments. I appreciate it.
Danny, I am glad that the song made you think of fighting back. Where I come from that is exactly what would have happened.
Herb, Thanks for your kind comments. I have never considered my voice one of my strong points, but it's fun to try.

Tommy,
Sometimes your songs speak directly to a listener. They conjure up the past, put images right in front of you and a rock in your gut. I had a tough time making it through this one but I managed. I was the kid on the ground with the taped-up glasses and, yes, I am pigeon toed.
