Dani - you "Rapscallion" ! I don't deserve this kind of praise. But thank you, and also thanks to Scott and Guenter.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Hi!

We're kinda new here ( almost a week...woohoo!). We're still checking out the site and the music.

That's some fantastic jazz! I'm (Al) a guitarist and dabble in jazz from time to time. love the tone and touch. I particularly likes the part from 2:26 to about 2:40...sweet!

We both loved it and will be back for more from you every chance we get. Have a great 2014.

Al & Di

Whoa Mario!

I don't get compliments like that too often. But, as a fellow guitar player, I had a feelin' you'd dig it. Thank, man.

Hi Janice and Bud,

You know, I have this recurring dream about getting my thumb caught in a car door. It might have come from the great jazz guitarist, Jim Hall who, sadly, died last week: When Jim first heard Wes Montgomery he gave an interview saying, jokingly of course, that he hoped Wes would get his thumb caught in a car door. Shivers!

And, thank you for your kind words.

I did not know this. A really sad moment for the music. Jim Hall has certainly been one of the greatest guitarists in jazz history. He has left a wonderful work to remember forever.

Adios Maestro.

Rafa, mi amigo,

So good to hear from you again! Hope you are well and enjoyed a peaceful and happy Christmas.

Yeah, it was sad to hear about the passing of Jim. He played with such taste and intelligence. All of these guys that we grew up with, Wes, Grant Green, Jim Hall, Joe Pass, Barney Kessel - to say nothing of Les Paul - are gone. Pat Martino is getting on in years but he still has some of the most wicked licks in the business.

I'm glad you liked Senor Thumbs, but - que Dios me ayude - I'm no Maestro. But, just the idea is such a profound compliment. Thank you, Rafa.

Hi Tom,

Lately I've been goin' around wearing on my right hand something called The Ov Glove. It's for picking up red hot skillets or working at the BBQ, but the way my thumb feels, I need it just for picking up a cup of coffee!

But I sure am glad you liked the tune. Makes it more bearable.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
