This is my first post so don't know if the link will get you to the song.
All done with Band in a Box and mixed using Cubase.
Here's hoping.

Yes, welcome, Roy. A great first post.

It's a really good song, with lots of things going for it. Nice choice of instruments and the vocal and harmony were excellent.

The quality of the vocal recording sounded a little harsh and this is maybe down to the mic or pre-amp. What were you using? It also sounded as though it could use a bit of reverb to sweeten it and set it into the mix better.

If I'm being really picky, maybe bring the snare and hi-hat up a little to match the kick drum.

But I don't mean to be too critical because it's generally very good. Looking forward to more of your stuff.

ROG.

Roy,

Very enjoyable song. Good lyric and a strong melody. Solid vocal - a very comfortable vocal style!

Nice production and mix. How did you build that drum track?

Looking forward to more...

Roy, a hearty "Welcome!" I thoroughly enjoyed this. Very fresh and clean and not choked with too many FX. A nice blend. Thanks for posting. I'm anxious to hear more and that's exactly what songwriters are after, to create an appetite in your audience, and I think you've done that quite nicely here.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
