Hello friends, this is my first post in 2014, and is a funk jazz tune "a la Gato Barbieri". Not quite using the 2014 BIB version but 2013. I started it back in December and waiting to get a larger external HD to install all my stuff including the new 'everything pack" on it. But in the meantime..here it is. Hope you like it.

For some reason this made me think of the Love Boat, another excellent piece of work you've created; thanks for sharing!

Thanks to all for listening and the kind and encouraging words. I'm glad that you all liked it. Finally I got a 2 TB external HD. I will probably install it tomorrow and transfer all my stuff into it and install my new everything pack in it and start using the new sounds. More to come.
Regards

Mike B.

Excellent mix, very balanced. It's all very well done, and I think the drums are perfect.

I don't know why, but as the other instruments soloed I was keying on the percussion.

Great mix and inventive arrangement. It has that studio finished sound. A fine smooth and sorta ethereal groove all the way around. We enjoyed the listen.

Dunno if you meant for the very end to be truncated or not.

Mike,

Very nice! Some real hip changes all over the place. Two questions:

(1) Is that a wind controller sax?

(2) Is that you playing that marvelous piano solo?

Hi Mike,

I was just going to ask the very same questions Dean asked, and then I notice he just asked. So I won't be repetitive. But inquiring minds want to know...

BTW, good job!

Hi all, Dean and Steve, the sax solo is through the Ketron SD2 using a higher bank that has that "blowing" sound which reminds me of the sound produced by "Gato Barbieri" on his sax. And the piano solo is also a midi solo in this case using a cakewalk studio Rhodes VST.
Thanks for the nice comments to both of you and you too Mario. I'm glad you all liked it.

Mike B.
