Sorry I havent been able to post an own Composition since Waltz For Chloe. Still been busy doing a few “covers” which are pretty much verbotten on here. Here's a Poppy little bit of guitar Nonsense. Nothing fancy – just me and my RealTracksBand having some Fun. Not a single “fancy” chord in it. I love the K.I.S.S. System. I wanted something cheerful to take my mind off our Son and family emigrating to their new life in Australia on Feb 21st. Written in BB and exported to my old Cakewalk DAW as individual wavs for further action – like mixing, mastering etc. It all ends a bit “immediate” and I dont know why but what the Heck!! lol !! Ian Great vibe to the song, like the build at the start and the use of octaves between choruses. The ending after the last chord seemed chopped of though and too abrupt. Otherwise, nice

Mike B. Thanks Mike Maybe the Accordion should be a tad louder and Synth a tad quieter, but what is mixed is mixed. Ipso Fatso!! Lol! Ian

Hi VT Thanks for the Crit. Staggering the instruments in for the opening 4 bars was intentional and worked quite well. I did comment in my Header about the ending being abrupt. Can't get it to decay out on the last chord like I expected it to. Maybe its because I have made the Style myself so doesn't contain any info in the STY as to how it should carry through the last chord. Any ideas? Cheers Ian

Fine picking, arrangement and mix. Who needs fancy chords?!
I really like this song. A lot. Regarding the decay at the end, FWIW, I found that if I'm using repeated choruses with an outro the RTs do not fade BUT if I convert everything to one long chorus then the RTs behave. I'm sure you know... but there is an option to convert.

Hi Ian.
Loved all of it, right from the opening bar.
Lovely sound from the strat and a clever bit of palm damping in the middle.
Chord sequence works really well and the whole piece has, as you say, a happy feel to it. Great choice of instrumentation and a pro mix.
Oh, and give that bass player a bonus!
ROG.

Ian, I really liked your playing and the way you changed pickup settings. The muting really worked well. Great melody. The mix sounded good. Nicely done. Tom

Ian, I definitely hear "The Shads" in it. May I share it with my friend, Nokie Edwards of Ventures fame? I agree with ROG on the palm mute. Perfectly executed.
Thanks for the "ear candy".

I'm sure you know... but there is an option to convert. Hi Janice & Bud Glad you enjoyed it. It was fun to put together. If ever I form a Band, an Accordion is going to be right in there. I usually set my BB as one long chorus anyway so it's not that. Maybe I should have tried D... At the end. Its a bit of a crash stop at the end but with a bit of luck, the audience won't notice! Lol Cheers Ian

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
