This is another one that falls into my obsession with finding different blues progressions. Hope y'all like it. All comments/suggestions encouraged.

Hold You Tonight

i wanna love you

But there’s nothing I can do

I wanna hold you tonight

I wanna touch you

Oh babe if you only knew

I wanna hold you tonight

why did we have to waste so many years

I thought the fight would go on forever

And now I’m fighting to hold back the tears

i want for us to be together

I wanna tell you

i wish I could tell you

I wanna hold you tonight

You said you loved me

yeah i thought you loved me

I wanna hold you tonight

how did this happen to us anyhow

Seems like the fighting went on for years

I still want you I’m all alone And now

I’m still fighting to hold back the tears

C J, Glad you enjoyed it . Thanks for listening. If you ever run into Chris Rhodes in Asheville tell him his old high school bandmate says hi. He plays almost every night around there. I hope to hear some of your tunes.

Dani, Glad you liked the chords. I know progressions are something you are into.

DA, Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Guenter, Thanks for listening and for the kind words.

PGF, Thanks for the comments. I appreciate it.

Tommy. That is fantastic! Some real blues topped off with a great mix and some marvellous vocals. Nice!

Tom,

BEAUTIFUL, lyrical guitar! Terrific vocal - sits right where it is supposed to - up front, but still in the mix - perfect reverb (Focusrite?) - excellent job on that!
Drums are perfect. Man! Tasty guitar!!!!!!

Great mix - a pro sound. Wow. You nailed this one - through and through. I don't know if it can get any better than that....

A big WooHoo! Love it.

Hi Tommy,

What a song! Everything about it is top-shelf. As floyd said, "you nailed this one - through and through".

I'm heading back for more!

Tommy,

I would love to add this song to my playlist to be played on future gigs, I LOVE IT! If ever you think you might allow that please keep me in mind.

PS: If you decide not to let be covered, I fully understand and respect the decision.

Later,

floyd, Thanks for you very generous review. The vocal verb is from nectar. I usually use focus rite and i did use it on the individual tracks. The tone of the song pushed me to drench the guitar and vocal in reverb and delay. Thanks again. You comments made my day! Tom

Noel, Thanks for listening and commenting.

Danny, Feel free to cover this. You have my permission. I remember about three years ago you asked the same thing on a tune called Get Yourself To New Orleans. Are you still using it? Thanks for commenting. I always look forward to what you have to say.

We listened several times over the last few days before commenting and WOW! Man, that is stone blues. Like Janice just said "that's a melody that will stay in your head for a long time." Killer guitar and mix -- loving that organ too. The lyric and your vocal simply WORK together -- This is a no BS from the heart delivery.
Jimi Hendrix said blues is harder to feel than to play. That always stuck with me. When it is truly felt a blues player gets on another plane - look at Clapton's face on something like "Stormy Monday." You nailed this one buddy.

Another great one!! My favorite of yours that I've heard! Love the minor blues thing. Great vocal!! If there's anything I'd change, it would be a heavier, wetter snare sound. LOVE THAT GUITAR!! Keep 'em coming. Take care. Greg

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
