This is my FAWM no1
Backing is - theswamp.sty. nothing else.
Have others but they need more work before posting here. Well so does this - but I felt like posting something.

Ah well back to writing. Only 10 to go! Cheers - Richard.

Time Together

Bossy cat will munch minced chicken
We eat pills and cereal
Birds eat bargain bread and bathe
Meandering through the morning meal

Time Together sharing mornings treats
Time Together blessed
Content with food and friends and summer sun
Time Together blessed

Cat is gone and chased the birds
We're glued to our chairs
There's things to do but what's the rush
We'll plan the day and our affairs

Time Together sharing mornings treats
Time Together blessed
Content with food and friends and summer sun
Time Together blessed

Tomorrow brings uncertain-ty and strife
I spend precious moments with my wife

Time Together sharing mornings treats
Time Together blessed
Content with food and friends and summer sun
Time Together blessed
Time Together blessed

Rich -

That's an interesting mix of "instruments"! What is the running water sound? You do come up with very interesting imagery to populate your songs! I like that... Keep it up!

Hi Floyd,
Just liked the sound of this style under 'New age style with audio loops'. 'Oriental new age with swamp loop'. A hell of a mixture. Not totally appropriate but interesting. I like the idea of trying to incorporate natures sounds with the other sounds we use and make. Sort of ties things together somehow. - Cheers - Richard.

Thanks for the comment on this one. The loops fascinate me as their sounds weave in and out of the music. - Cheers - Richard

Cool song. The imagery is strong albeit different -- in a positive way. Enjoyed it.

love the nature sounds! I think about adding nature sounds to some of my songs but have only done it once.

I the enjoy the out side the box style you have here and the simple picture your lyrics paint

I like this a lot. It's honest and real. Musically it is unique, but it all works.

I saw that FAWM thing and wondered if I was going to join in. So many things happened this month, so I'm kinda glad I didn't commit. That's one reason I have been scarce around here over the past few weeks.

I like the imagery in the song, and tells a unique aspect of life. Not totally sure the music fits the words but hey, I'm glad you took the challenge to start writing in the FAWM challenge. If that's song #1, you're probably late to the game so I guess you gotta write, write, write, write, and write some more to catch up.

Thanks olemon. Appreciate those comments.

Thanks Herb for listening and commenting . Got through the 14 songs (with a bit of a struggle) so have plenty of basic material to try and turn into something i would like to hear. And share. Cheers.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
