The inspiration for this song was a certain woman who broke up with me after learning that I was not as financially secure as she had hoped. The intro uses BIAB style CAIRPGS (Celtic Air Fingerpicking Acoustic), then we switch to BG_BNJR (Bluegrass Pop) for the rest of the song. There’s a break which uses soloist 593 Fiddle. It’s all BIAB, no other instruments. The RealTracks were brought into Logic Pro X where the vocals were recorded and everything was mixed. No special effects, other than the reverb, compressors, etc. that come with Logic. All comments welcome.

Ha Ha

A bit of fun

Really liked the finish - I suppose I should've expected that.

Nicely put together

Gilley,

Excellent writing.

"I owe Mastercard and Visa
Uncle Joe and Aunt Teresa"

This ain't your first rodeo.... maintaining that level of humor (and quality) throughout a lyric is the mark of experience..

The production and mix are also top-notch. Tastefully done. Well recorded vocal.

Enjoyable - start to finish.

Hi Gilley
This is great! I absolutely love the line "I'm broke and brokenhearted". The way you have used the "stops"in BIAB also adds something. Well done.

I had to listen once I saw that title. Excellent!! Rhyming lobster and mobster has got to be a first!!! The theme reminds me of a few things. A guy I used to work with told me of a T-shirt that said "I am not a success object". The other was from Diary of a Wimpy Kid that my son loves to read. His Uncle Gary got married, and his wife-to-be said "I have about 30 thousand dollars in the bank" to which he replied, "I have about 40" which turned out to be 40 dollars! I got a kick out of that, as did my son. Loved the ending of this one too!!!! Take care. Greg

What a riot!!! Terrific.

I didn't scroll to see what you would rhyme with 'lobster', but I guessed correctly:)

After that I was hooked, no pun intended, but truth be told you had me at 'moon...greasy spoon.'

And, as a native SD'tan, I appreciated that lyric as well.

This was refreshing and so well done. Take a bow.

I was smiling through it.

Nice work on the lyrics and on the production, putting several styles and tempos together and making it flow smoothly.

totally enjoyed it.

I didn't know what to expect honestly with that title. Turns out, it is a very nicely written and produced comedy song.

Hi, Gilley !:))

This could have been more than
hilarious if the undertone would not
have been kinda sad ! I hope you have
found another kind of friend nowadays ?
In any case, I also liked your tune
and performance very much !:))

Cheers

Gilley:

Once again, excellent lyrics. The same fine standard as your Comcast song. Good job. I really enjoyed this.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
