I am having a bad experience with an order delivery from www.Sweetwater.com. I hope it yet works out, but is there something I should have known about these folks before I place the order and paid.

I think that Sweetwater is possibly the best online retailer for musical gear today. Your problem is probably an anomaly. Hope it works out satisfactorily.

Regards,

Bob

My experience with Sweetwater has always been superb for more than a decade. I don't have any reservations whatever.

Dan, you should have a "personal Sweetwater sales person" or some such assigned to you. If you don't yet and want one, call mine: Dan VanAmerongen at ext. 1253. Another Dan!

High praise for a group which is pretty screwed up this morning. I am still going back and forth with them. They seem greatly confused!!!

I've never had an issue with them. I've dealt with the same salesperson for over 20 years. His name is Michael Eads.

Care to share the details of the issue?

Only made few purchases, but everything worked great.

Methinks your quote is right on.

Lots of tornados recently. Maybe that affected shipments in your region?

So I believe all is now right with the world. I spoke at length with Chris my service rep. He explained they simply just did not know who I was. Really. When my name hit their system this weekend with a purchase they had not seen it in so many years that it got sent to a "live review required list". So they could not do anything until this morning. Then my email account caused some problems. Just when I was really working up a head of steam (after my first post here), Chris called me on my cell phone. How he got the number I can't figure. But now that they know who I am (hehe) all has been worked out.

But the really interesting thing is what I bought. It is my birthday present to myself. I will share more on that in another thread.

Hehe. If you have followed any of my prior threads over the past week or two here in the forum you will see what I was eyeing. So I pulled the trigger this weekend.

My prior thread honestly did not ever get a single response. I dropped the same tread into the Reaper Forum and had two days of lively conversations with dozens of folks weighing in. We really have became very sleepy over here, but hey, it is what it is. I think we are all old. sleep

But, I will do what I can to wake folks up. Heck, we are supposed to be having fun.... grin

I bought a reso guitar and a bunch of software from them this past Christmas. I have never had such a great experience online before! I got to choose my guitar by S/N and photos online before placing the order. the ordering was simple and I was able to download my software right away. the guitar arrived a few days later packaged beautifully and set up ready to play! when I order gear online I will only buy from Sweetwater if they sell what I am looking for!

I have never had an issue with these guys or for that matter Musicians friend and American Music Supply. Guess I have been very lucky.

The best part of using Sweetwater is the candies in the box.

Matt, I got such a kick out of that! I probably told more folks about the candy than I did the guitar!

Later,

Again we strike a similar chord my brother! I have never had any problems from them either. Sweetwater is my number one place to shop but I have purchased from the other two also.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Software is getting harder and harder to purchase. EZD2 it is and what a mess it is turning into. This is now day 3 trying to get the "instant download" of the EZD1, so I can get the free upgrade to EZD2 when it releases next week.

Sweetwater is doing there part, so I don't fault them here. But Toontracks, in the middle of what they have claimed is a "game changing" release, has decided to update their website. So pages no longer exist! Specifically the page to register the software. So it is turning into a real process.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
