Dani - thanks. appreciate that.

Guenter - Thanks for the listen - and the heads up about the crackle - it turned out to be at the end of the drum track - after all drum sounds had faded... haven't ever notice that before. I assumed it would be a guitar track - the drums was the last one I checked because I did not suspect it...

Floyd,

So now that the 'crackle' is gone, I can firmly stand by my original assessment and reiterate my highest praise for you and Janice.

Herb - never had a Eddy Raven comparison. He was big in his time - some good songs - a prolific writer. I wasn't listening to country much during that period - got into it heavily about as his career was coming to a close - early 90's..

Scott - thanks. Had a lot of Glen comparisons when I was (a lot) younger - he was my first big musical influence, so I mimicked his style for years...

Bob - To also quote Oliver... "Till the sheep in the valley come home my way... Till the stars fall around me and find me alone... When the sun comes a-singin' I'll still be waitin'"
They just don't make 'em like they used to, eh?

Ray - thanks - nice of you to say...(love the shades!)

Ian - you are too kind...I appreciate the "crisp acoustic" comment - since that's my guitar...If you want the SGU (rather than "figure it out") just email me - I'd be happy to send it...

Kevin - Thanks for dropping by for a listen and a comment. Always good to see ya....the product is just SO dang good... it's not hard to get that "studio" sound - anyone can do it... thanks for all the compliments....

Pat - So VERY good to see you. I miss your comments on the songs throughout the forum - they are always insightful - and often, thought inducing. These days, the only people that these are getting "in front of" are you guys/gals that take the time to listen here in the forum. The "truth" behind what it takes to get songs to an artist (or the team who choses) is a long dark path. Few will ever really know. The odds are astronomical. In the case of what I do (country, basically), if you aren't in Nashville rubbing shoulders with the right people on a day-to-day basis - it ain't gonna happen. And even if you are there - the chosen few gets smaller and smaller all the time...

Beautiful sound, tight harmonies, good story, some real poetry thrown in for good measure. Floyd, man, you are some kind of song generating factory. No assembly lines and no formulas, though. Every piece you stamp is original, unique, and uniformly of the highest quality.

This is one of my fav fj songs. It was a pleasure engineering Janice's harmony -- getting that close to "the man" when it comes to production and arrangements and much more made my day. And, yup I'm biased, but wow did it ever work out. You two just blend so well - it's been Janice's dream for years to experience that. And who would've thought it would have come about via a great forum -- Thank you Peter!!

I gotta say Dean nailed it in his description. Covered all the bases in three succinct sentences.

Congrats....this deserves the attention it's getting.

Very nice arrangement. It reminds me of "love will keep us alive" but in reverse, in this case the guys never going to get the chance to show his true love.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
