As I was looking through my archives I found this hidden gem that was recorded live with BobH playing lead while I played rhythm. It was a short ditty so I repeated it and added juggs (played on my keyboard) and Dobro guitar.

I tried adding dobro RTs to this but with the subtle tempo changes we inadvertently did it was next to impossible to line everything up. So I did the next best thing. I stole opps I meant borrowed a couple of dobro parts from those RTs and played them myself.

I hope you like it for what it is.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Hi Mario ...

Very original and had a laid-back sound. It's amazing the good music one can make with just a couple of instruments in the hands of talent. Great stuff, as always. Mr. Eclectic!!!

Oh yeah, I'm listening, looking through the window out onto our front porch where we've held many a picking gathering over the decades. Thanks for taking me back.

Hi Mario,

this is fun, even without a porch.
Nice playing. Thanks for an enjoyable listen.

'Tis a gem. Brought me a smile and the smile remains long after the song is over.

I have to say Mario your students must consider themselves some of the luckiest people in the world. Your music knowledge, versitility and good nature makes me wish I was one of them. You take having fun seriously and I bet studying with you is a blast.

Why all the above? Because I remember days on the porch just like that, only not as well done. We'd get in a groove and play until our fingers hurt.

Mario,
my porch is 6' by 4' so I don't think the gang would fit!

Nice to hear the jugs again, reminds me of my brief spell as "bass jug" in a college band years back!

thoroughly enjoyed

Hi Mario
Where I come from jugs are a complimentary term for a part of a woman's anatomy but I hear form your piece that they are quite literally jugs. Love it. Love it.

Mario,

Brisco Darling would be proud of that jugging! Great picking and liked that Dobro too.

Thanx all for listening:

Charlie - I'm glad you like it. When BobH and I get together every Sunday we do similar stuff like this. We will be posting more in the future.

Floyd - thanx to listening and the very nice comments.

Eric - thank you so much.

Greg - thanx for listening. I played and fronted wedding bands for year, thus we had to play every genre there is! My biggest asset is that I can play a little of everything but my biggest deficit is that I'm not really super at any of them.

John - thanx and yes less is more!

Alan & Di - thank you very much for listening and the nice comments. Mr Eclectic? See me response to Greg above!

Janice and Bud - you were very fortunate to have porch fun! I didn't experience that,

Guenter - Thanx! We don't have a porch either but Patio Fun just didn't cut it as a title!

Jim - thanx for listening and the comments. I wish some of my students would consider themselves lucky! Some think that I'm a PITA! That is until they get it and we can start jamming together! Studying with me can be fun IF you practice!

We used to play until our finger hurt also but we were more like Zappa's Joe's Garage!

Gibson - given enough beer we would fit on your porch! "Bass Jug" player? Do you remember Dr. West's Medicine Show and Junk Band?

JosieC, Jugs have the same meaning here:-} I put that line in to get a few laughs when the jugs started playing.......Music that is!

Josie - thanx. I'd bet that Andy would get a kick out of this one also!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
