Hello everyone, well were back with another one. As usual all tracks done in BIAB. Marinus and I wrote this one about someone re-bounding from a broken relationship (sound familar) thinking they would never find that one special person again. Thanks to Brent Mason for providing the awsome break as well as all the BIAB people behind the scenes that make all our efforts possible HERE ARE THE LYRICS and link:

By Marinus Vandertogt and Nelson Lyon

MONEY CANT BUY THE WAY I'M FEELIN
THERES NOTHING TO TAKE TO FEEL THIS WAY
MY LIFES ON A DOWNHILL RUN
AND EVERYTHING GOOD IS ROLLIN MY WAY

I'M HEAD OVER HEELS, I'M ACTING LIKE A FOOL AGAIN
HEAD OVER HEELS, IT'S SO GOOD TO FEEL THIS WAY
WHAT THEY SAY IT'S SO TRUE
WHAT A WOMEN LIKE YOU CAN DO
I'M HEAD OVER HEELS OVER YOU

I NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE SO EASY
THAT LOVE WOULD EVER FIND ME AGAIN
SINCE YOU CAME INTO MY LIFE
I'M SMILING AGAIN IT'S A BRAND NEW DAY

Thanks

Nels

Nelson/Marinus,

I really like your melody/chord structure on this. It is quite catchy.

That lead guitar is sweet, indeed.

The vocals are a little more out-front than they should be (imo). Your tracks sounds really good, but seem like they are "in a different place" than your vocal - too far in the background. I would think just dropping the volume on the vocal would be all you need to do to make it all come together... but... certainly, wait for some other opinions...

I agree with the comments about the mix - all the other instruments seem far in the background.

Nice tune - I liked the build into the final verse as well.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Nelson and Marinus,

Nice song but I too agree with the vocal level. I sympathise because I find that part of mixing hard also.

Enjoyed the song!

Thank you all for the comments and listening. I have taken the advice given and remixed with the vocal brought back. It does make a difference. Thanks

Nicely done!! There's a really nice simplicity and honesty in this song. The guitar solo and arrangement in general work very. There is a little something awkward in the "Head over heels" melody/harmony following the solo. Great stuff!! Take care. Greg

Hi!

We didn't get a chance to hear it before you remixed. But it sounds pretty danged good on this listen! You picked a great lead guitar track ... perfect for the song. Also, really enjoyed the key modulation. That always seems to give a song new life. Thanks for a real nice listen! Really nice!
