Christmas Eve Blues It's OK for a poor little blues girl to sing a Christmas song -- ain't it? Have a wonderful Holiday everybody!! J&B Vocal: Janice via Rodes NT1/Blue Icicle/Logic Pro X Bass: 1394 Jazz Guitar R: 952 Country Boogie Reso Guitar: 585 Blues Piano: 1566 Southern Rock Drums: N'ville Shuffle Effects: Ozone 6 / Nectar 2 Mastering: Ozone 6 Christmas Eve Blues It’s the day before Christmas, can't you hear me cry, I say its the day before Christmas, can't you hear me cry, Just take me back baby, I'll give you everything you desire I had a good chance, baby give me just one more, I threw away a good chance, give me just one more, I'll show you some lovin’ like you’ve never seen before. I know I did you wrong, I'm just as sorry as I can be, Mmmm, sorry as I can be, It's the day before Christmas, please come on back to me. Don’t turn away from me it's Christmas Eve, Don't don't turn me down, on Christmas Eve, Please let me come home I promise I'll never leave It's one day till Christmas, bring me a present tonight, It's the day before Christmas, bring me a present tonight, You can be my Santa, even if your whiskers ain't white Blind Lemon songs are PD as indicated by - archive.org - Africanamerican.com -Publicdomain4u.com We rewrote some of the lyric (mainly to make it from a lady's perspective) and changed the melody but all credit to the MAN. It's a shame the degree to which his lines and songs have been ripped off with no attribution, e.g. "That's All Right Mama," "Match Box," etc. Trad. Arr. 2014 Janice and Bud Merritt

Ha, I'm the first one to chime in on this one (unless someone beats me to it while I am rambling on!). Dang, Janice has a wonderful voice and the musical arrangement is super duper cool.
Hey, maybe this February we can to a co-write together as I battle to get 14 songs out for FAWM!
Wonderful tune. I have one BIAB Christmas tune, maybe I'll re-post it (but it ain't as good as this one!).

You guys are really terrific at making these PD songs you're own.
I believe this is my fav song of yours this year Janice and Bud. The mix sounds great, the arrangement is super and the vocal is one of the best I've heard you do.
Merry Christmas!
Josie

Hi Janice and Bud, Whenever I hear one of your songs, these are nearly always the first thoughts that spring to mind. Today was no different. Half a bar into the song and I was hooked. Janice, you sing this traditional style of blues so incredibly well, world-class well in fact! And the mix! Bud, there is such clarity with the instruments and the vocals. This really is 200% terrific! Best wishes to you both for a great Christmas, Noel

We talked about putting this together yesterday and It came together quickly this afternoon after working on our hiking/biking trails for most of the day (time to consider an arrangement!). Keep us posted on FAWM! Bud

Noel is so right. Your vocals are world class and as a team, the arrangements, mix and productions match beautifully with Janice's vocal performance. First rate stuff here.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
