Again I apologize for not being able to listen to the posted songs. Things were really tough here for a while. Monday was my brother-in-law's wake, Tuesday the funeral then Wednesday my wife had her second breast cancer surgery. Friday it was a meeting with the radiation doctor. Monday it's the chemo doc to determine if she will need chemo then Tuesday it is a meeting with the surgeon. Wednesday we head for Florida for some R&R, then it's back home for radiation and possibly chemo. Life sometimes gets in the way of making music! But during the down times I worked on this song.

The BiaB style is Phil_col style. I deleted the bass and the strings. I modified the piano track and changed it to a music box.

I am playing the acoustic guitar, the fretless bass as well as the pan flute via my wind controller. I am also playing via my keyboard controller the vocals/chorus and cymbals.

I hope you enjoy it.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Geez, Mario... that's a heavy load. I wish you nothing but the best...

Beautiful piece. Well played, well mixed. Peaceful, restful... just what the doctor ordered...

God bless you Mario, I'm glad your music is giving you an outlet for all that stress.

Soothing and beautifully peaceful - as FJ said just what the doctor ordered.

Mario,

Glad you took the time to post.

My condolences for all you've been through.

Your music tells your story... the feeling it gives me is love, peace and resignation (hope I translated this correctly)

Be there for your close-ones, and from time to time, let us in on your music...

Thanks for posting Mario!

First and foremost I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for my wife. I greatly appreciate them.

Also thanx to all for listening and those wonderful comments, I appreciate them also.

I'm on vacation/holiday for a couple of weeks starting tomorrow. I'll have my notebook with me but my computer time will be very limited so if you don't hear from me don't worry. I'll probably be drinking beer by some pool in Florida!

We're all thinking of you and your close family Mario. Your song is really beautiful, and I imagine hard to have written in such demanding circumstances.
Take care

Hi, Mario.

Thanks for this lovely piece. I am sorry to hear you are having a rough go of it as of late.

It's nice to listen to a fellow wind-controller player. What kind of controller do you play? I'm an EWIUSB player, myself.

Thanks for the music,
Dan

Thanx to all for listening and for the thoughts and prayers for my wife, we appreciate them. We got good news today, the surgeon got all of the cancer cells. So tomorrow it is off to Florida for some much needed R&R. Then it is back for more tests, radiation and possibly chemo for the wife.

Dan, I also play the EWI-USB but I am a rank beginner.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
