Hello everybody,

Here's my version of Joanne's song for her collab project. I put a slightly different twist on it by changing the timing and melody a little bit then adding different instruments to make it my own style - the RT's are listed below. Joanne did all the harmonies. I used Joanne's sgu file, then recorded and generated tracks in RB and mixed it in Reaper. Your listening time and comments are always appreciated. Thanks to Joanne for inviting me to do this song. I really enjoyed being a part of this great project.

The 2 Josies come together!! I remember this song-really pretty and well-written. This arrangement has a very nice vibe. Like the EP in particular. AND you guys blend very well. Another nice collab and a hit for the 2 Js!! Take care. Greg

Josie, That is a beautiful interpretation of a beautiful song. The choice of real tracks is perfect. Nice call on the EP. The timing change works also. The editing is great with just a few sax lines. Above all it is perfectly sung with the BG vocals in just the right places. Great mix. You girls have got it going on. Very much enjoyed my listen! Tom

Great collaboration here. This is so nice and laid back/relaxed like RichMac noticed. I like the guitar choice too. Nice job making it your own with the phrasing on the vocals Josie.

Oh my Josie (Sundance), this is so smooth. A really wonderful production. I particularly enjoyed your vocals on this one.

And JosieC, great harmonies. Also, again your songwriting shines.

I think this is my personal favorite of all the JosieC collaborations (barely edging Guenters remix by a nose).

thoroughly enjoyed this.

Josie and Joanne,

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
Josie, you had a cheek to ask me for "talent in a bottle" laugh and then THIS turns up grin
Everything about this is perfect. Sultry vocals, good arrangement, beautiful harmonies.

Spectacular write, Joanne!!

The J team indeed. Now all we need is a song with Janice as well! Maybe my next project.

Josie thank you for this wonderful rendition. You treated it so gently (which is no less than the subject matter deserves!) as opposed to my "belting it out"(which I tend to do and probably overdo). I really love what you have done with the song and it is going to be a very tasty addition to the collaboration album.

I am going to be working on a video for this one in a few weeks time.

Thanks to all those who have listened and commented. We appreciate it.

Smooth. Very enjoyable listen. I caught the Ritchie vibe in a few places that others have mentioned.

I like the EP as it fits the style and groove nicely. Good call on the sax.... but I'd liked to have heard it used a bit more in the song for fills.

Good work. This project was a great idea, and has turned out some real gems. And this is one of those sparklers.

Well Joanne,

Your collaboration project has resulted in another winner! And I really like the term "J TEAM"... I hope we hear from them again!

My brain is having a hard time finding words today, so I'll mostly agree with everything that has been said... the mix sounded perfect to me, the choice of instruments and style really gave the song a smooth and classy presentation.

Your voice is especially beautiful here, Josie. Each time I hear one of your posts I decide its my favorite from you, and this one is no exception.

I like the term "gently" Joanne used to describe your handling of the subject... I agree with that choice of words. And Joanne, your song has such a universal theme! That surely makes it more transferable to other artists interpretation!

My hat is off to the entire J TEAM! You both brought good things to the project!

Another great song of Josie's project.
Beautifully sung by both of you. Very crisp sound and the sax is very functional here.

W-O-W-!

In poker parlance, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BEATS A BEAUTIFUL PAIR OF JOSIES!

I had imagined you two collaborating but this was even more than I could have imagined. Superlative adjectives here girls!

Josie B has that sultry, seductive voice that complements Josie C's perfectly.

Synergy means that the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. Something that few duos ever achieve. Well, you wonderful friends have arrived, most assuredly.

Thanks for sharing. Wow!

Hi Josie,

This is really beautifully presented. You have done a splendid job with every aspect of JoanneC's song and harmonies. The clarity of the mix is outstanding and it supports a first-class arrangement and a stellar performance. I thoroughly enjoyed listening.

All the best,
Noel

Thank you Patrick. That guitar is what set me down this path - it had such a pretty and soulful sound. I tried who knows how many others before finding it and doing a little editing.

Charlie thank you so much. What a great compliment. Joanne's original vocal sounds so great for her big ballad that I wanted to make this one my own style. I'm so happy it worked.

Thank you Herb. I had more of the sax but decided it was too much for the song and I'd go with it more like the crème filling in a Ding Dong cookie cake - tasty surprise in the middle that lingers a little even after it's gone.... I'm really happy you liked it. We appreciate it very much.

TRAX! So happy you liked it. I did this arrangement and sang lead. Joanne only used the TCH with my lead vocal to learn the harmonies - then she sang them herself. She put a lot of work into those and they sound great. I added a bit of magic dust (vocal processing) in the mix.

Another collaboration keeper:)

Very smooth with a pleasing groove. Excellent vocals and harmonies.

It is wild to hear a different interpretation of the song.

I'm suddenly remembering a scene from 'Sweet Dreams' when the producer and Patsy Cline transform Willie Nelson's "Crazy".
