It's hard to believe he's really gone even though he was sick. He was the oldest and more like a father since he had kids older than me. When I was a teen, I told him I wanted to play the piano. I came home from school one day and there it was. The most beautiful used black baby grand taking up half the living room. I never learned to play it well and I'm not sure who loved that piano more - him or me. Then he bought himself a fiddle which he finally traded for an acoustic guitar when the family threatened mutiny. smile He was quite a character.

I will miss him.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for me and my family.

Josie

Josie, I am so sorry for your loss. I do have to agree, he seems like the kind of guy you would love to be around!

Try to focus on the great times, and celebrate the time you had with him. He lives on in you that way.

Josie,

I wish I had something to say that helps, but that doesn't seem to be one of the powers bestowed on words. Based on what you said, it sounds like he was a brother who put his money where his heart is. Given the price of baby grand pianos, he must have really loved his little sister. His actions said far more than words.

Josie,

Some wonderful things your brother did for you.
Besides the love and attention.
Peace be with you and the family.

I will add him to my prayers tonight. Sadly, as I get older, the list gets longer.

I smashed the hell out of my car today. When the cops came I told him "Officer, that guy was BOTH texting and drinking a beer." The cop said "Sir, he has every right to do that. I mean, it's HIS living room..."

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
