Things are finally starting to calm down here. After four wakes, three funerals, my wife's breast cancer and my aunt and cousin getting out of the hospital I am starting to breathe again! All of this in less than 3 months!

My wife only needs radiation and no chemo so that is great news for us. I will take her once a day for 6.5 weeks to get said radiation but that is in the morning. Treatments starts next week.

Right now I am playing catch up on yard, swimming pool and deck work.

During this time I have done a couple of quick and dirty covers songs, my therapy, and one new original with JonD. BUT I will not upload it until after I listen to some of songs posted here.

I want to thank you all, y'all for my southern USA friends, for your prayers and especially the PMs I received from a number of my forum friends. May God bless all of you.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

You are due some time to get back on track and for things to become more normal again. Very happy for your wife's prognosis and know that life getting back to a normal level is good medicine in itself.

Thanks for the update and looking forward to seeing you here on the forum more often.

We're glad you're back and that your wife only needs radiation. The next few weeks will not be easy though. We hope she'll get well soon!

Good to hear that things are calming down, Mario. All the best wishes for your wife's treatment!

Sometimes life hit us hard – most of us seek for the predictable aspect in our own lives, for family, friends and the ones we hold close – though, life shows its strength towards the shadow of death.

Mario, you said:
"During this time I have done a couple of quick and dirty covers songs, my therapy, and one new original with JonD. BUT I will not upload it until after I listen to some of songs posted here."

Music is definitely THERAPY! I can' live without it. Practicing or playing gigs/concerts – it's been my life since I was a child, and I'm too old to stop now! ;-)

Love the process from a small idea to a new song, from one single note to a whole symphony. To create something unpredictable, surprise myself and others. So thankful to BIAB and Peter Gannon for making this great software. It makes my dreams and ideas come true.

And I really dig this forum where fellow music lovers share their music, dreams and LIFE! From small ideas to really GREAT music!

So, Mario – I look forward to hear your "quick and dirty covers songs" and also the "new original with JonD".

– We all have to play dirty, play bad and even play wrong notes to make the MUSIC really shine!
In the deepest pits of life, I've seen people rise for the occasion and make their lives performance of MUSIC and LIFE!

And I believe that the BEST MUSIC still is ahead of us!

So, keep on writing new songs, Mario!

Bad language may occur – hopefully you see the philosophic aspect I try to lift up!

Take care!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
