A slow waltz would get you really close. The intro chords would be better played live.... but you could use holds in BB as well.
Most covers will sound closer to the original if you can incorporate some skilled live players into the mix. Rock, for the most part, especially the better songs, have little things in them that BB will miss, and a live player can hit every time.

Hi Guitarhacker,
I am finding what you said to be dead on. Cover or original, if one needs something in a very defined way, the only way you will get it is to play it your self or get someone else to play it.
Band In A Box, like any software or even studio musicians for that matter have limits.
For me personally, BB is another good useful tool, but just one tool in a box full of tools.

Yes that seems on target from what I have found. Sometimes I am just trying to decide if I want/can do a song and BIAB is great because you can get a style close enough to try it vocally....see if it needs key change or tempo correction and then if it sounds like is one I can do I can put the effort into refining the backing tracks. I have been able to get the unrefined version done in a few minutes. I am still working on the best process to refine them.
