It's always a pleasure to get home from work and sit down in my lounge chair, lay it back and just forget about the worries of the day. With that being a part of my life, I thought it would be fun to write a song about this experience.
The photo for this song is a picture I took of Daniel in my chair. He is the one who sang the song "Home Sweet Home" so I thought it would make more sense.

Home Sweet Home

Home sweet home
I feel alive again
Kicking off my shoes
And what a pain at work today
I did not choose

Home sweet home
It takes the stress away
Laying back my chair
Don't won't to hear the cell phone ring
I just don't care

Stretching out and man it feels so good
Think I will grab the remote
Well let's see what's on TV
Hey! It's Duck Dynasty

Home sweet home
Where else can you find
Such serenity
Mostly what I want to see
Is right here with me

Repeat chorus

Home sweet home
Nothing else to fix
Gotta turn out the lights
And start it all over again
Tomorrow at six

Style - slowpoke1.sty
Drums - Rock Texas
Bass - 518
Piano - midi HQ acoustic bright
Guitar - 848
Solo guitar - 422
B3 organ - 689

Sonny,

That sounds great. Daniel did a great job on the vocals - and it sits in the mix perfectly. The OOOHs and organ combination is sweet!

Nice job with the BAND! Good arrangement and mix.

The song is "infectious".

Really enjoyed the listen.

Nicely done Sonny!! I work 6 days a week and love getting home, cracking a beer (hopefully something a bit tastier than a Miller, or Olympia-my dad drank that one-no wonder he wasn't much of a beer drinker), and watching a little tube. My home is my sanctuary. Can't wait until I can spend a little more time there. This song captures the emotion very well. The mix is excellent and your son did a hell of a job on the vocals! Enjoyed it a lot!! Take care. Greg

Hi SRP,

I agree completely with Floyd.
This is a good song, professionally arranged and well sung!

Great blues feel, laid back, just like the doctor ordered. Like the others mentioned, the vocals are really nice. The guitar fills sit well too.
Tops.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
