I can get the soloist to take a solo in the middle chorus, one time only, but I would like to have soloist do the Intro, a couple of choruses but not one after the other and to do the tag ending. Has anyone got some help on this topic, I would be most gratefull. I am using Win Vista and Version 2011 of BIAB Build 311

Well, the first thing I would do is update BIAB to build 317; that will make sure you have all the latest patches.

In the soloist screen, there is a button labeled "Custom". This allows you to specify exactly where you want the solos to occur. Just run it iteratively for each place you want a solo.

Hope that helps.

Just download the latest patch from the PGMusic web site to your computer. Once downloaded, double click on the file to start the installer. It will ask you where BIAB is installed on your computer, then just let it run. Make sure BIAB is not running when you do the update.

You can find the latest BIAB patch here.

You should also want to update your RealTracks and RealDrums, as well. You can find those updates here.

You can periodically check for updates on the PGMusic web site by clicking on the Support tab at the top of the page.

Good luck.

Many Thanks for your help so far. I have now updated BB and with the additional Real Tacks and Real Drums. Here’s what I am trying to achieve. I have an 8 bar chorus song with added 4 bar intro and a tag ending of 4 b ars. I want to have the soloist start the 4 bar into, no soloist for 2 choruses, solo two choruses, no soloist for 2 choruses then soloist for the tag ending. Can this be done, if so how do I go about it? I have looked at the soloist settings and in “customise” and made some setting there but it appears I can only set up ONE lot of soloist settings. Am I correct with this?

F5 will allow you to set, who plays and when they play.

So if you want a certain instrument, including the soloist to plyy the intro, sit out Chorous 1 then play three bars for chorous 2 and then go get a beer for chorus 3 and 4 then play the tag ending this is how it can be done.

Give it a try. I actully made a how to video, if you get stuck let me know and I will send the link.
