Guenter you did a fantastic job on this!

Two thumbs up!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Loved the choice of percussion. I've used the bodhran before -- but it sounds better in your song (ha, ha). This remix contest sounds like a lot of fun and challenging, too. You've done a great job here. Every thing has its place! Those who-who's were throwing me off, I thought my wife was cheering about something upstairs. Great depth on those.

I listened to the original after I listened to your remix and I think that you did an outstanding job! You are quite gifted in this area and I am sure it takes a lot of time, imagination and patience to pull this off. Thumbs up!

Smooth version Guenter.
I particularly enjoyed the rhythm and was surprised the fiddle fitted in so well.
Good one. Cheers.

Nice job Guenter!! Techno to organic transition. Listening to the original, I like yours better (as I always do) but I do like the original also. Great arrangement and mix you pulled together, preserving the spirit of the song while re-inventing it. Awesome!! Take care. Greg

Another great re-mix. A good and unique take on this that fits the vocals pretty nice.

Guenter,
You never fail to deliver something with that extra zing. This is no exception. The vocals are superb. The way you added the fiddle fills is extraordinary. Extremely creative from start to finish.
Thanks for the listen.

Guenter,

I got through about 115 of them before I wore out...

So many sounded pretty much the same. Here are some notes on a few that caught my attention for one reason or another...

FCL - certainly different
JETT - nice opening.
prospectZERO - like it. very different. original - but I wanted it to change into something different by the end...
Cristian Agrillo - how does someone get 90,400 plays??? In 1 day????
Javi Grex - some nice dynamics
ItsLee - a nice listen.
Lowfreak - made me dance in my chair... I liked it..
BBP - did some nice stuff
Emmett And The Nihilist - nice guitar/flute opening.
kdfahnder - interesting
GeeDee - added a lot of nice instrumentation.
Fekbek - The Chipmunks!!!
Tekmau - listenable
Axl Vice - nice piano additions
Fredziak - kept me listening. different.

After all that, I was anxious to see what you did...

What a breath of fresh air!!! Once again, you take this to a new, better place.

The mandolin works very nicely to compliment the vocals (along with the acoustic guitar) - making this sound like a song that someone was signing - instead of simply looping vocal phrases (impressive). The way you wove the fiddle through it is truly amazing!

It seems that you added a low harmony (nice!) - how did you do that?

Of the ones I listened to there were perhaps 2 that I listened to all the way through. Listening to yours 5 times through was a pleasure.

You are a very talented man.

Hello Guenter,

We know Jean-Michel Jarre very well from the 80s, we didn't know he also had tracks with vocals in it.
You did a very nice job with this remix (added a nice folky feel to it).

Guenter,

You took on the great Jean-Michel Jarre and moved the song to a really good space, as usual.

As floyd so rightly wrote, You are a talented man.

Well done and best of luck

Alyn

Celtic? Who would have dreamed that would have worked
this well? I like what Greg said "techno to organic." Impressive
to do that with the same vocal. This is a huge leap from the
original and it is outstanding. Great mix as always. Nice
bottom end on the bodhran - I've never gotten my use of
it to sound that punchy.

Tons of things to like here!

I saw that Guenter - very kind of you. One more amazing creation. At first I was skeptical, but I've finally become convinced that BIAB is a musical instrument in itself. You can play it badly, or well, or, in your case, be a master.

Hi Guenter,

I don't know how you manage to be so consistently outstanding at these remixes. This is great. Your imagination is a dynamo of musical invention.

Once again... incredible work.

Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
