I composed this one with the program One Man Band using one of the Yamaha styles. We decided to create an RnAM version using the program ChordPad to do the initial translation. Next we exported the midi file and imported it into BiaB. Finally we added: 1601 Mandolin Rhythm Pop16Melodic 1595 Guitar Acoustic Fingerpicking Pop8thSteady
Love and Leaving
Arguing your right to love and leaving Contemplating good times with pain When all the while your eyes avoiding me Words you say not reaching me For a good deal, for a good deal now You remember the times......
But oh my love it's strange, but I can only Fear to give it another try when Every time I look and see It's you that gets the best of me...
So here's to all the cries and the bravery Left in time with all the things you try to keep from me And all the while your hands are touching me Your arms reach out to holding me For a good deal, for a good deal now Remembering the times....
But oh my love it's strange, but I can only Fear to give it another try when Every time I look and see It's you that gets the best of me...
And maybe someday soon we'll find With overs and dones all left behind Friends will ask, We're doing well Welcoming the freedom bell....
I created the video, using footage of the public domain movie "Few too many". Hope you like it, any comments are welcome. Rob

Rob & Anne-Marie All vocals were top notch. Nice backing giving a very professional sound. Lovely song. Clever use of the video - it must take a while to go through the old movie to get the best bits!
Rob, That is an excellent vocal. The way you easily slide into a few of those falsetto notes is difficult thing to do, which you do perfectly. I like he lines "Every time I look and see It's you that gets the best of me..." Another enjoyable listen. Tom
Enjoyed my listen and the song really took off for me with the melody change at the 1:44 mark. Good write, arrangement, mix and performance. Anne-Marie's BGV's were nice.
Very pretty song!! Lovely soaring melody. And, as mentioned, your vocals (as always) are awesome. You get such a big, smooth sound on vocals. Another in a long line of excellent productions by you guys!! Take care. Greg
Lovely track which worked really well with the video.
Very nice under-stated backing, which left space for the great vocal track.
Nicely done.
ROG.
Thanks ROG, your kind comments are always appreciated!

Thanks Peter! Yep, the video took a lot of slicing and dicing

Thanks Guenter! Kinda sad indeed.... Initially there were 2 versions of the song. Like we sad in our post, we created it with one of the (thousands available) Yamaha styles. We had different ideas about the melody and subject. We both created our own song with the same music. This is Anne-Marie's version: Not another Love Song
Very different ey?

Beautiful song and video! Both of your vocals are just superb. I'm sure that you guys put a lot time and effort into the production and editing of this song. I like the melody and piano and the way that you composed the lyrics. Very good listen! Sonny
Well David.... that's a sharp observation (as usual ) But you're right, I thought I could get away with a little "dichterlijke vrijheid" Dutch expression for 'Poetic Freedom'
And after all, it IS my second language

Wow! The vocals are stellar. The editing of the backing tracks are simply perfect for the vocals and the lyric. Very powerful.
You used an entire feature length film to find those clips? Our heads would have been spinning after a few minutes of that! It worked really well. Like all of your vids the clips augment and never distract from the song. That surely takes a lot of work.
