Absolutely GREAT! Love your steel and guitar playing. Great job on the lyrics, and your vocals really shine on this one. Seems every song you write/produce just gets keeps getting better than the one before, if that's possible.

Other than the above complaints, I really like this one. smile

Steve

btw, congratulations on 23 years!

We definitely agree!
And on top of that great guitar work, we love the pedal!
RnAM, Thanks for the nice words and ongoing support. Tom

You are on a roll with your writing.... I love the fact that you brought this super song in at under 3 minutes with time to spare. That's a lost art in song writing. Lots of energy and a good topic.

Loved it
Herb, The tele is A Fender special run Baja in Vegas Gold Sparkle. I never thought that I would like the finish but it is a bad boy. Custom Shop Amer P/u's, Glossy thick neck, Brass vintage saddles, 4 way switch with S-1switching. I like it better than the Am Std at half the price. Thanks for the great comments. Tom

Are these files you're referencing BIAB loops and files or are they third party product?

Does " 7 piece multitrack form." meaning each drum,hi-hat, tom occupy an individual track in RB or another DAW or a drum kit mixed to an individual stereo file on a single track in BIAB?

My understanding of loops is ... well ... a misunderstanding. frown
Charlie, The drums are individual tracks for each one, Kick, snare, hat, etc. They are from Drums on Demand. I want to emphasize that the writing takes place in Biab, and the real tracks put it over the top with how well they fit into the final mix. Loops are great ,but Biab is much greater!

Tom,

I cannot believe that what I just heard is Band In A Box!!! That is an incredible mix, outstanding arrangement and expert presentation. Absolutely everything about "Perfect Match" says 'professional through and through'.

This should be on the radio with you singing it. I'm awestruck by what I've just heard.

Wow!

Regards,
Noel

I must admit though that I think this song is about my wife and I. Opposites do attract and I know if both of us were to sign up for match.com no one would have put us together, yet we have been married for 48 years.

PS - all I can add is this is what country is supposed to sound like
Thanks Mario, It's always nice to hear that a song resonates with others. Tom

"1 part brand new Telecaster, 1 part blow the dust off the steel,
1 part finally bought some studio monitors, 1 part 23rd wedding
anniversary , mixed carefully, not shaken or stirred."

All of which equals a man at the top of his game.

The first time we heard this we, well, heard it again on the monitors.
And then we listened on the living room "big system" and later we
listened in a good vehicle system. What the heck, I listened through
ear buds. And the point? It sounded fantastic on every device. The
clarity, the soundstage, the fine pickin' and the vocals...everything was
hittin' the note and in the pocket.

And then the lyric all chock full of great lines -- enough for several songs!

Dang boy, you doing good!!!!!

Hey Tommy ...

Is this coll or what? we vote for cool!

The pedal steel and single coil Tele sounds are perfect. And that ending is beyond great! You have your own sound and it's as good as any we've heard. Strong country that knows how to rock. Great song and performance, Tommy. And the mix is spot on.

Merry Christmas to you and yours ...

Hi Tom.

I'm late checking in, as usual, but...

This is just PERFECT.

Everything about this screams out PROFESSIONAL.

Wonderful steel guitar and the Tele sounds amazing.

Superb vocals - your best ever.

Stunning mix.

Going back for another listen.

ROG.

What a treat it was to hear that - especially on a dark, rainy evening.

Top of your game, indeed.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?
